Pet care experience
I am a licensed and insured pet boarder through my pet boarding business, Barks and Recreation, located in Soldotna. Through my business, I have taken the needed safety trainings. Pups are cared for in the home and treated as part of our family! Pups are allowed to really do whatever they need to feel comfortable (like sleep on the couch or a bed). I own my home and also have a nice sized fenced in backyard. Pups are always supervised in the backyard. I am able to administer medications and provide care for pups with special needs.

Megan took great care of our guy! She had him for nearly 3 weeks, and he was excited to see us but bummed to leave her house! The fenced in backyard was the perfect place for our guy to get his exercise and play. Megan’s home was super clean and inviting. We will be recommending her to our friends and using her again.
Megan was great. 2 weeks away and we came back to a very happy guy. Our dog has some stress issues and he seemed as if we were just gone for the day. Thank you!
I travel often for work, and I need someone I can trust to watch my two fur babies as well as my home. I ask Megan every time, and I have never been unhappy. She is very attentive, respectful, and caring. She spoils my babies, cleans my house better than when I left it, shoveled the driveway and walkway, watered my flower garden twice a day, mowed the lawn in the summer, bathed both dogs, and took my dogs to the park and for walks everyday. I have never had a complaint. I have two pit bulls, one is a high energy anxious puppy, and the other is a 9 year old senior who needs medication twice a day. I get the best videos and pictures of them having so much fun! We love Megan, and I’m sure you will too!

I do have two kiddos, a 3 year old and an almost 1 year old. So the pup will need to be safe to be around children. My kiddos are always supervised around pets. I do not kennel pups (unless owner requests that). The pup becomes a member of our family while they stay with us, and are cared for as if they were our own pup.

A typical day
I live right by the SOHI walking trail, so in the warmer months we will be enjoying that walking trail! If the pup isn’t up for walks we have a great fenced in backyard that has plenty of room to play in. And of course, plenty of snuggles and pets!

Availability
I am a stay at home mom/online college student at UAA. So my schedule is pretty flexible and I am typically always home. I will be able to spend the day playing and loving the puppers!
