Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Megan, and I have been caring for animals of all varieties for as long as I can remember! I grew up with cats and dogs, and have invested much of my time into my own cat and dog. I was drawn to Rover because I couldn't imagine leaving my dog alone for over 8 hours, and I'm sure many other pet parents feel the same! I want to be a part of this community because I understand the stress and worry that comes with leaving your little ones alone all day. Nothing has made me happier or brought me more fulfillment than being a dog and cat mom, and I would love to be a part of your pet's life as well! I began working in veterinary medicine because of my deep love for my own furry kiddos, and it has helped me tremendously to understand the many common (and uncommon) illness and behaviors that our animals experience. I have experience administering oral and intranasal medications as well as intravenous and intramuscular medications in both dogs and cats. I am well versed in the importance of prescription diets for varying conditions, as well as the importance of routines, schedules, exercise, interactions, and just plain old love and play! If your pet has any special needs, I'm more than happy to go over everything with you and come up with a solid plan to help you feel better about being away from your baby! I always prefer to begin our relationship with a meet and greet. I want to get to know your fur babies, but more importantly I want them to get to know me and feel comfortable with having me around. I pay close attention to their specific needs and routines, and do my best to help them feel happy and safe. I find exercise and play are essential to an animal's health and well being, so I will walk and play with them if they are capable. If they are physically incapable of exercise, I am more than happy to challenge them with mental games and exercises or just give belly rubs and snuggles! Also- I use my digital camera during my visits (better shutter speed and less blurry photos than what I get with my phone! 😅). You can expect PLENTY of pictures of what we are doing during the entire visit! Photography is a passion and a pleasure, so if you DON'T want 40 pictures of my time spent with your baby, just give me a heads up beforehand!
Reviews
Megan is fabulous! We were worried about leaving our older cat who has health complications, but with Megan's experience as a vet tech, we knew he was in good hands! She went above and beyond for us, including driving 20 min each way to pick up meds from our vet. Thank you, Megan!!!
Megan was great. We have a 100 pound gigantic dog. She is super nice and our dog loved her!
Megan was so amazing for my two cats! She cares so much about what she does and it’s clear in the way she interacts with my boys. She’s reliable, very communicative, and great with checking in. As a bonus she gives so many pictures of your fur babies to help you feel comfortable while you are away. It’s hard to leave your pets-Megan takes the brunt of the stress away!
Stellar service! Great communication and thank you so much!

As a vet tech asst., I am capable of caring for your pets' medical needs as well as emotional and physical needs. I am able to administer oral, intranasal, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and injectable medications, and I know how to handle medical emergencies if they arise. I am very comfortable administering meds with tasty treats and positive reinforcement, but I also take special care to not allow too many treats because I know how important weight management is for our furry friends!
Information Megan B. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has special needs or behaviors that I need to be aware of. Also it is important for me to know how your dog reacts to other dogs- if they are playful or defensive- and I will be sure to accommodate their time with me.
A typical day
I love to keep my dogs entertained and mentally stimulated. We play games like fetch and tug-of-war, we go foe good long walks, and I encourage them to earn treats with puzzle games. Cats need play, exercise, and mental stimulation just as much as dogs do! If they are social and not fearful, I love to encourage play and embrace my kitties' natural hunting instincts!
