Flexible & Professional pet sitter

Pet care experience

I am 29 years old and have 3 years of professional experience working with pets who need medications, are visually impaired or deaf, need extra TLC, are reactive, etc. I've been around dogs and cats my entire life and have two cats of my own. I began dog walking and doing overnight/boarding services 3 years ago part-time and now have the opportunity to share my love of animals with pet owners full time. I pride myself on the high standard of care and services that I offer and understand that your pet is like your child, wanting the best care for it while you are away. When you book with me your pet will not be treated like another number. Since it is just me, your pet will have my full one-on-one attention. I truly want the best for your pet(s) and think of them as my own when taking care of them. Because your pet's safety, well-being, and comfort are my top priority, caring for your pet(s) is a privilege, never a burden. My main goal in spending time with them is that they are happy and well taken care of. I have a number of clients/customers who can vouch for my professionalism and flexibility. I look forward to spending time with your pet and giving them a fun experience while you are away! I do this full time, so I am super flexible. My daily schedule depends on what I am booked for, so I may have a pup with me for the day doing doggy daycare or I may have a couple walks or an overnight. It really just depends! I care for other people’s pets as if they were my own, making sure they are as comfortable as possible and feel safe. I allow pets on my furniture and if I’m caring for a pet in a client’s home, I leave it better than I found it.

I cannot say enough good things about our dog sitter Megan. She has stayed with our 10-year-old Lab and 4-year-old Pug for several extended vacations. And having her care for them has completely put our mind at ease about leaving town. She painstakingly follows our instructions with the dogs and sends an abundance of photos and videos. We can tell they absolutely love her and we have the video evidence to prove it; they also seem rested and not overly enthusiastic to see us when we return home! :) The dogs’ well-being is obviously our priority, but as a bonus she takes care of “house” things like taking in deliveries, watering plants and making sure the house is clean when we return. We have her next stay in the calendar and the dogs are already looking forward to it. Thanks, Megan!

Thank you so much for caring for Guthrie and Cali while we were away. Knowing you were all over their needs and going above and beyond with all the deliveries (planned and unplanned) was a relief for us in so many ways. I will be the first to recommend you when or if others need pet help! I hope we can use your excellent support more since the dogs clearly like you better than us anyways 😂❤️ Thanks again, Megan!

Megan is fantastic! We are so pleased with the care she provided for our 2 very spoiled cats while we were away. We received detailed updates and pictures of our cats daily, which alleviated the anxiety and stress in leaving our boys. Our cats also bonded with her immediately, including our more “aloof” cat. She knew exactly how to engage him. (He never bonded with prior carers). I can’t say enough about how caring and reliable she is. One more thing, she went out of her way and helped with small “not pet related chores” like getting our mail, which was very much appreciated. If you’re on the fence, hire Megan!

We highly recommend hiring Megan! She was amazing with our two cats and two dogs, all of which have their quirks. Our cats are usually pretty shy with new people but they were both really affectionate and social with her. We have one reactive dog and one highly food motivated dog and this was our first time hiring a pet sitter because we felt like they were too much of a handful to leave with someone else lol. Alas, we decided to elope in Las Vegas and Megan came highly recommended from a reactive dog Facebook group so we met with her and were really impressed and felt comfortable leaving our crew with her. She gave us daily updates and amazing photos while we were gone which allowed us to be fully present on our trip and not worry. Our animals clearly loved her and there weren't any issues while we were gone for 4 days. Our pets are ready for us to travel again so they can hang out with Megan :)

I care for pets in your home by making it my "home base" for the allocated time needed, spending as much time there as I'm able to. In my own home, I have a fenced in back yard and 3 levels.

Information Megan B. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know how the dog is around other dogs and people, as well as cats - as I own two. I would also like to know if there’s anything I should be aware of when caring for your dog.

A typical day

I love to stimulate your dog mentally and physically. Depending on the service, I will take the pup to the dog park to play fetch or walk it around the neighborhood - making sure to spend time in the shade to cool off as well.
