I showed an early interest in animals as a child and a constant need to be around them-particularly dogs! I grew up caring for a rat terrier from ages 3-18, as well as several other pets growing up when neighbors went on vacation. I rescued my dog, Ivy, in 2017 and have lived with her for the past 5 years. I’m experienced in working with pets of varying ages, abilities, special needs, and breeds and love learning with each unique animal. I recently received a certificate in Human Animal Environment Interactions in Social Work from the University of Denver due to my deep love and connection to animals. It’s my hope to make your pet feel as comfortable and cared for as possible while also updating you with high quality photos that give you peace of mind knowing your pet is in trusted care while you’re away. I welcome meet and greets prior to the dates of your request between your pet(s) and my dog Ivy to see if it would be a good fit before booking if everyone feels comfortable doing so on neutral territory. I currently work full time for a local non-profit in a hybrid schedule as well as do freelance creative work in the evenings. My days at home that are open for Doggy Daycare are typically Monday’s and Wednesday’s and occasional weekends. Booking Doggy Daycare typically includes 1-2 walks during the day depending on weather and breed, as well as free play time with toys or Ivy if she feels comfortable. I am available select weekend evenings with a preference of 1-2 weeks in advance notice for overnight Boarding. Overnight Boarding pricing accounts for additional cleaning costs. I welcome flexible and ongoing long-term clients and would love to become apart of your pets care team. I live in a 1 bedroom in Capitol Hill with my 17 lb rescued Chihuahua Staffy mix named Ivy. She’s a fairly active dog who is shy at first, but quickly warms up and is very tolerant and accepting of other dogs. She loves making new friends after she’s had some time to adjust and establish her own safety.
