Pet care experience
Hey! My name is Meg and I just want to love your dog. I've been in the veterinary field for 5 years. I'm currently working at Fairfield Veterinary Hospital and I absolutely love my job. Before I became a Vet Nurse, I worked for an animal welfare society in Norwalk where I took care of the rescued cats. My family adopted our first labrador when I was 6 years old and ever since, I've loved dogs and cherished my relationships with them. Along with housesitting and short home visits for play, or a walk around your neighborhood, I can administer oral and injectable medications including insulin. If you have a special needs or elderly pup, please reach out and we can talk about your pet's specific needs. My rates vary depending on your needs so please don't hesitate to contact me!

Meg is my go-to dog sitter! I go to her before anyone else or any other facility. My dog fell in love with her instantly and is very comfortable with her, as she is a natural when it come to taking care of pups! I never worry or stress when I'm away and my golden doodle is in Meg's care. She has extensive experience working for a vet and knows what to do in any situation - I will often text her if I'm worried about something with Annabelle, even before I call my vet. She is loving, attentive and fun and I couldn't ask for a better person to take care of my puppy.
My husband and I have two rescues that both have anxiety and trauma issues. Meg is the only other person besides ourselves who they trust. When we first got our oldest, Jack, he was so skittish and scared and preferred to hide instead of spending time with us. Meg was actually able to gain his trust while he was still adjusting to his new environment. Meg is also amazing with my family’s dogs, one of whom is overactive and can have behavioral problems. Meg works with her exactly how the trainer asked us to, and Maggie responds so positively. I would highly recommend Meg to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable, whether your dog has problems or not. There isn’t an issue that Meg wouldn’t be able to handle, I think from her years as a vet tech, and she treats every pet like it’s her own.
Meg is a amazing dog care provider and I recommend her highly. She is knowledgeable, trustworthy, professional and cares deeply about animals. Her training as a vet tech is a huge plus because she is able to quickly identify any health or behavior issues your pet may be having. When our Sammy was ill, she was able to administer his medications and even had the skill to deliver his sub-cutaneous fluids. I wouldn't have been confident enough to trust him with anyone else. Above all, Meg is gentle and caring. In fact, I think she has a bit of "dog whisperer" in her. She has helped us care for our two dogs for years and -- right from the beginning -- they would excitedly run to greet her and climb in her lap! I have dealt with many different pet care providers over the past two decades and have never found anyone as good. Don't hesitate to contact her for a meeting. When you she her with your dog, you will understand why I recommend her so highly.

Information Meg P. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know anything about your pup which you think is important for their comfort and happiness. Fears, hesitations, comforts- we can figure it out together.
A typical day
I typically like to talk to owners to find out the pups normal routine so we can stick to it as best as possible. Dog's thrive with routine and I wouldn't want to cause anxiety or disrupt their normal day. In short, I'm flexible! Neighborhood walks, dog parks, backyard fetch- you name it.
