Pet care experience
I've grown up around dogs and cats for most of my life, including the family dogs and my friends' dogs and cats. I helped to care for my family's chocolate lab for the 14 and a half years that she was with us, especially with the growing needs and special attention she needed in old age. I have experience with walking, feeding, and administering medication. I can also clean their ears and brush their teeth (as long as the dog is comfortable with me doing so). I have experience with dogs of all sizes from chihuahuas to Great Danes, and ages, including puppies who are still house training and senior dogs who may have strict medicine requirements or need extra care. Growing up with dogs has also given me experience in training and maintaining discipline and good behavior, Victoria Stillwell is my personal idol for dog training. I also have experience pet sitting for other animals simultaneously, such as cats, chickens, rodents, and multiple dogs. Until I'm in a pet-friendly apartment, I will continue to enjoy living vicariously through other pet-owners. Thank you for checking out my profile, I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your furry family members!
Reviews
Meg was great! It was our first time having someone stay at our house and everything went smoothly and she was easy to work with. Our dog loved her and he had a great weekend!
Meg was easy to work with and my dog says she was great too. She has experience with dogs and she handled everything great. Would hire again.
Meg is wonderful. She helped me out in a pinch, and I’m so thankful for her. She sent regular pictures, and I had no concerns while being which led to throughly enjoying my trip. Thank you, Meg!!
Meg was amazing!! We’re always nervous leaving our little rescue terrier in anyone else’s hands, but Meg was communicative and friendly, and we came home to a calm and happy pup and an exceptionally tidy house. Meg, Sadie says she can’t wait to see you again!

In addition to providing walks and meals, I've also given pills to dogs with medical conditions. Unless there's a fence (invisible or physical) I always keep dogs on a leash whenever outside.
Information Meg L. would like to know about your pet
Are there any sore spots or areas on the dog's body that I should avoid touching? Are there any behavioral concerns? Are there any cases in which the dog has been known to (and may) bite or become aggressive? I've grown up around dogs and I'm comfortable around them, but I'm not a professional dog trainer so I would not be comfortable with dogs who have an aggressive attitude towards strangers. Are there any health issues? If so, what are the medicines involved, when/how do I administer them? Are there any specific dietary requirements/schedules? How is the dog around other dogs/animals? Is there any type of people that the dog does not do well with (i.e. men, children)? Is there anything else that I should be aware of about your dog while they're in my care?
A typical day
I like going for walks with dogs, I'm relatively new to the area so I'm open to suggestions! For safety, I always cross the street if I see another dog coming toward us.

Availability
If your dog(s) can be left alone for about 5hrs, I can accommodate my schedule to fit. I'm currently attending graduate school at CSU and working as a trauma intervention specialist at the May Dugan Center in Ohio City. I'm part-time in the office from Mon-Thur., 10-2pm. The only other times I would need to leave is for school classes, which will vary throughout the semesters but typically fall on 2-3 weekday evenings from 4pm - 8:30pm.
