Pet care experience
I'm originally from the sunshine state of Florida. I have a bachelor's in zoology with a A.S. degree in zoo animal technology. Whether your pet is scaley or furry, I have experience with everything. I have worked at zoos, a vet clinic, and a animal shelter. I have experience in dog boarding and medication administration. I strive to make your pet as comfortable and relaxed as possible when you are gone. I also enjoy walking dogs on trails and new places for them to explore. I can give your pooch a bath and brush out if needed. If exercise is needed I enjoy jogging, when it's warm. I enjoy training as well, if you need some basic skills such as sit, stay, lay down, and come I can assist with that using their favorite treats or regular food. Ready to show your pet some love? I'm pretty nervous about leaving our Guineas (Guineafowl) with anyone...let alone someone I didn't personally know. Well, Megan surpassed all of my expectations! Birds were happy, and I felt so relieved knowing someone with kindness + expertise was caring for them. The daily photos + videos truly helped me relax and not stress about being away!!! Highly recommend Megan for all of your creature care + comfort while you are away for the day, night, or week!

With my experience at zoological institutions, vet clinics, and animal shelters I have a well-rounded idea of what it is that an animal needs and deserves. I keep animal care areas tidy and am not afraid to clean up messes or get my hands dirty. I care for my animals at home with love, understanding, and positive reinforcement. I respect an animal's space and can easily read body language to understand of they are uncomfortable in a situation or not feeling their best.

A typical day
I enjoy hiking and training loose leash walking with dogs. I like exercising them with puzzle feeders and frozen snacks. I also like teaching them new behaviors through positive reinforcement.

Availability
I have a full-time job but I can never tire of caring for animals. I am available in the early mornings, late afternoons and evenings Monday through Friday. I have open availability Saturdays and Sundays.
