Hello! My name is Max and my pronouns are they/them. I worked for 2.5 years at a doggy day care in Cobham. I have lots of experience with a variety of breeds and ages but especially nervous dogs and puppies. My job entailed being in an open field and managing 20-30 dogs with two other carers, feeding lunches, giving engagement, taking themed photos weekly and most importantly lots of cuddles! I live with my five year old chihuahua, Barney who I adopted just over a three years ago. He is full of character, very food orientated and adores playing with his toy squirrel! He is nervous around people but loves other dogs! In my childhood I grew up surrounded by labradors and have adored dogs from a very young age. I am first aid trained in humans and dogs and have attended several dog behaviour and puppy training IMDT courses. Dogs are such beautiful and intelligent animals; learning from them and building a relationship with individual dogs is a passion of mine. I have experience in 1-2-1 engagement with dogs and basic training such as sit, recall, touch and beginners agility. I recently graduated Kingston University as a graphic designer and so am very creative. I make my own dog treats from natural ingredients and have reused materials such as palettes to make dog beds, tyres to make obstacles and tunnels and rope used from tree surgeons for dog toys. I also create snuffle mats from fleece and garden mats. I have recently moved to Southampton and am looking for new clients. I will love and care for your dog like I love my own!
