No charge for more than one pet!

Pet care experience

My care is unique to your individual dog's needs; whether you have a young puppy or an older senior. I’m very experienced with dogs due to working with them for 10 years professionally. I’ve been around dogs my whole life but I started working with them at age 16. Due to my history with dogs I am experienced with a wide range of different behaviors. I worked at various doggy daycares and boarding facilities throughout highschool and college. This is where I learned a lot about dog pack mentality and dog body language. After college I began to work in different animal shelters and also fostered about 20 dogs with a local rescue. This is where I gained incredible experience working with dogs from various backgrounds. A lot of my fosters were from puppy mill backgrounds and were discovering love and compassion for the first time; and also all the basic things like stairs, a leash, a bath, toys... I love watching rescues learn how to be a dog and live a fulfilling life. I have volunteered with a non profit that tries to find and catch loose dogs that have gotten out of their home. This has equipped me with how to handle loose dog situations and has also shown me the importance of entering and exiting a home carefully, hanging on to the leash securely, and what to do if an emergency like that were to happen. Towards the end of my college career I got about a year's worth of experience as a vet assistant in an ER clinic. I soon realized that being a pre-vet student wasn’t for me. I began working on Rover and found a passion for running my own business and walking dogs. I now walk dogs and pet sit full time and couldn’t be happier! I love meeting new dogs and their families. I dream of having my own physical location to provide a stress free doggy daycare and run my own rescue. *coming soon :)* I have four dogs of my own: a small pitbull mix, bully mix, doberman mix, and an italian greyhound. I also have three cats and a ferret. So as you can imagine finding pet care for all of them is stressful. I designed my pet sitting business to be as simple as possible.. I hope to ease your stress of finding someone by charging one price for the time needed to care for your pets. The price does not change if you have more than one pet. Goodbye to the days where you have to send your dog aggressive dog to a kennel, your dog friendly dog to daycare, hire someone for the cat, and another person for your bird! Thank you for taking time to read about me and thank you in advance for trusting me to care for your beloved furry family member.

Meaghan is always dependable and leaves pictures and notes with her visits. She kept us informed and took great care of our cats again. Thank you Meaghan.

She is so good with them, give the best updates, thorough, and gets a good distance for them to really get exercised while also on their potty break!

Meaghan was fantastic! She helped us out on Christmas Eve by stopping in to feed, walk and play with our dog while we were at family's for the day. The pictures from her time with Max showed that he had a great time with her. Thanks so much Meaghan!

I am fully bonded and insured for all services that I offer. I offer a free 30 min meet and greet to anyone who is interested in my services. At the meet and greet we will go over everything in detail. I know finding someone to care for your pets is a daunting task. It is so important to be able to wholeheartedly trust whoever you leave your four legged family member with. I am very empathetic to the struggles of finding and trusting a good pet sitter. I listen to your concerns and understand that every dog comes with their own quirks. Every dog that I come across is treated as if they are my own. I truly feel comfortable in all scenarios with dogs and cats. I have had plenty of experiences with reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs with a puppy mill background. I understand dog body language to a T. I am not a dog trainer, but I work on leash manners with all of the dogs I walk. Consistency is KEY to training a dog so be sure to tell me anything you’d like me to do with your dog to keep up with his/her training. While your dog is with me I will work on whatever training needs to be touched up on. I also will try my best to retain the same rules the pup is used to at home. Making sure the dogs are mentally and physically tired at the end of each day is my goal.

Information Meaghan L. would like to know about your pet

We will discuss everything at the meet and greet! I let dogs approach me at meet and greets and our bond will grow at their pace. If your dog has any issues or special requirements for meeting new people just let me know prior to the meet and greet. All breeds are welcomed. I enjoy getting to know the dogs as individuals. They all have their weird quirks and unique personalities.

A typical day

Every time I am with your pet you can expect to get “instagram worthy” pictures of your pets, detailed description of the visit, and a route for every walk. Walks and Drop ins- Mental and physical stimulation is so important for the dogs well being but also for your home. A dog who lacks mental and/or physical stimulation can be a bit of a disturbance in your home. Unless you request otherwise, I like to take different routes with the dogs and allow them time to sniff and explore. I can also do a more structured walk working on healing, etc. Both of those kinds of walks are more mentally and physically enriching than just trying to go as far as you can in the allotted time. I schedule my visits in two hour time frames using the even numbers. Exceptions can be made (if the schedule allows) for young pups, senior dogs, and dogs on medication. The time slots are as followed: Starting at 6-8am; 8-10am; 10-12pm; 12-2pm; 2-4pm; 4-6pm; -6-8pm; 8-10pm; 10pm-12am This allows me to do this full time and move things around as needed. I schedule my life around this schedule as well so I prefer at least a 24 hour notice, but because I ask for a little bit of flexibility with timing I can usually accommodate last minute requests. Housesitting- The way I do housesitting is 10 hours overnight and two 30 min drop ins are also included in that price. I can add more drop ins or upgrade the 30 mins to an hour if my schedule allows. The way I have it set up your pets will not be left alone for long. An example of a typical house sitting schedule could look like this: 9pm-7am overnight; 12pm visit; 5pm visit I am flexible with timing and I also schedule them in the two hour time frames I listed above. Please Note I can not sit at your house for 10 hours during the day. 10 hours is only overnight. The earliest an overnight can start is 8pm due to usually having bedtime drop ins to do and having to care for my own pack.
