Hi there! I'm Meaghan - I grew up in a home with dogs and feel a soul connection with them. I also have an incredible partner who helps me out, loves dogs and has never-ending energy, Dan. We love to travel and don't feel ready to have a dog of our own yet, but we can't wait to help you with yours! A little bit about us: - We work from home so your dog will have company during the day - We don't have pets or kids, and we only board from one household at a time, so your dog will be the star of the show - We don't have a fenced yard, but our neighbour offers us unlimited use of his (also no pets, no kids.) - We're very active and love to go on hikes/walks, but also love to cuddle and watch tv with the doggos. Experience (16+ years) with: Big dogs (90 lbs +) Anxiety/trauma/reactivity Puppies. We are so happy to have found Meaghan to look after our dog Blondie. She took amazing care of her while we were on vacation and we felt at ease knowing her experience with anxious dogs. She was very patient while Blondie warmed up and got used to being away from home. Meaghan was always happy to send us pictures and videos and we really appreciated the daily updates. We could tell Blondie was having fun with her and Dan and that they genuinely cared for her. We would highly recommend Meaghan to anyone and know Blondie would be super excited to stay there again!
My little lady stayed with Meaghan for a full day and she was very happy when I picked her up, which made me happy. I received cute photos and updates all day with how she was doing and settling in. I LOVED this! Both Meaghan and her fiance, Dan, were lovely and I will definitely be using them for future boardings.
Meaghan was great! Very responsive and reassuring. Sent lots of updates and pictures which is just what I needed.
Meaghan looked after our dog Monty for another trip we took for 5 days in January 2024. I have left a few reviews and I can safely say Meaghan’s place is a home away from home for our dog. He loves going there, makes friends with Meaghan’s family and friends and overall has a great time. He’s haooh to come home but just as happy to see Meaghan and Dan when they come to pick him up. Thanks so much!

I prioritize safety above all else. My safety commitments to you and your dog are: - Regular updates on how your dog is doing. - Keeping hazardous objects/foods out of reach from your dog - Keeping a close eye on your dog in the house - Providing a safe environment if your dog is home alone - Making sure exterior doors in the house remain closed - Your dog is always leashed up while outside in unenclosed areas - I will always watch your dog while they play in the yard - Your dog will be the only dog in the house (unless explicitly cleared with all parties involved on rare/unique occasions.) I promise I'm still fun :) but my number one priority is returning your dog to you safe and healthy. It is important to keep your dog's experience at my home as consistent as possible with its regular routine. I am comfortable complying with basic training, commands, and routines you would like your dog to stick with, and easily pick up on a dog's unique needs. I will meet your dog's exercise needs, introduce them to lots of human friends if they like to meet people, and give them lots of love and attention. I will care for them like they are my own.

A typical day
I would love to play catch, go for walks in the park, cuddle, give pets, and give treats. I'm pretty adaptable for whatever dog I am getting -- let me know what your dog likes to do. I also like to do a long hike every weekend.

Availability
I work from home, so I'm available during the day for walks, cuddles, and whatever your dog needs. I'm able to take breaks as needed for walks and playtime. That being said, I do have a full-time 9-5 job and have to be able to get work done. If your dog requires constant attention, we might not be a great fit unless they are crate trained. If you're unsure, send me a message, and we can do a one-day trial!
