Pet care experience
We have almost always had pets! I have been pet sitting for friends, clients and family, as needed for the last 6 years! I am familiar with dogs, cats, chickens, turtles, birds and fish. I shave and bathe my own cats, if that doesn't display how much they trust me, I don't know what does. I love all animals and think they all deserve to be treated with love and respect. I enjoy hiking and walking so if that is something your pets like, I would love to take them to do that, on leash of course.

Meagan is such a find. I have one pet who can throw a sitter a lot of curveballs and Meagan handled it all like a champ. I got updates throughout my trip and all of my animals were safe and peaceful when I got home. Will definitely use Meagan again and highly recommend.
Meagan cared for our two dogs overnight in our home and was a great pet sitter. She followed their routines, gave them lots of attention, and sent us frequent photos. Our dogs were happy and relaxed when we returned home. We will use Meagan again!
Meagan is always reliable and I feel comfortable leaving my pets and my house with her. I have been using Meagan for about 3 years. She has taken care of my 3 high energy dogs, 2 cats, turtle, fish and Australian parakeets. I never worry that my pets aren't getting enough attention when she is here since she is also pretty active. She is also a chef, which is a bonus when I come home from a long trip and don't want to cook!

I do not allow other pets in my home as I have two cats that are scared if others, including people. Usually when pet sitting, I do so in the clients home. I stay in a spare room and clean up after myself and the pets. The last thing you want when you come home from a trip is more cleaning!
Information Meagan H. would like to know about your pet
I think one of the most important things to need to know is your dog's energy level. Some are mellow, some high energy then everything in between. The labs I have looked over in the past required a lot more outdoor play time to burn off a lot of energy. Also, how they are with other dogs is important if we are going to possibly encounter other dogs.
A typical day
A typical day for two of the dogs I sit and walk regularly goes like this: Morning snuggles, brief outdoor potty time, breakfast, they hang out while I work. Random play times and zoomies, random potty breaks, long walk around the neighborhood which ends up being about 30 minutes and 18 floors incline. Sometimes we go to the neighborhood park and "hike" the trail and play in the creek (the one dog that likes water anyway). Nightly golf cart rides after dinner. Bear checks for potty time before bed! I use spotlights because we have been surprised before!

I have a full-time job. So,I am looking to pick up extra pet jobs when you go out of town or need an extra hand! Afternoons after work, mornings on the weekends also available.
