Pet care experience
I have had dogs in my life since birth. My first dog as an adult taught me the true nature of the bonds between us and our dogs. Milo was with me for 17 years. Caring for him and an older Great Dane gave me loads of experience with elderly dogs, including special diets and treatment of health issues. I currently have two young Italian Greyhounds who love making friends and are very active. Dogs who board with me have the opportunity to go on long hikes and runs, assuming they would appreciate the exercise. I look forward to making your pet part of my family while you are away.

I have left my two dogs with Meadow many times over the years, from 4 to 11 days a stay. I picked her because of her comfort with senior dogs and medications. My senior dog is a little fragile and usually doesn't eat when we are away, but Meadow has her eating every meal. My other dog is highly anxious but seems to do fine and gets lots of cuddles from Meadow. I love that the dogs have easy access to her lovely yard, and she is around them much of the time, which is what they are used to at home. A true testimonial is that my dogs now eagerly enter her house, happy to be there, and when it is time to pick up, they aren't in any hurry to leave! Meadow is very kind and easy to communicate, she clearly has lots of experience with dogs, with and her two little dogs are sweet.

A home away from home for our dogs.
Our pup was happy right away when we met Meadow and her sweet dogs. A very comfortable home with a grassy yard, the dogs seemed relaxed and joyful. Meadow kept a close eye on the dogs in her care even as she met with us to go over details. I knew our dog would be in safe hands and when we left him for the day, he had a wonderful time playing, hiking, and bonding with Meadow. Highly recommend.

I have a large fenced yard and ample space inside for your dog to play and relax. The dogs are free to go in and out as they wish. My two small dogs are very social and love making new friends of all sizes.

Information Meadow L. would like to know about your pet
It is important that your dog gets along with small dogs and is gentle and trustworthy. I cannot accept dogs with a history of aggression, including leash aggression. My fence is only 3 feet high so no jumpers or escape artists please. I also cannot accept Pitbulls or Huskies. I have had personal trauma with a Pitbull and my dogs are afraid of Huskies.
A typical day
The Hillside Nature Area is across the street and my dogs and I hike there every day. The neighborhood is quiet and great for shorter walks. There is also a dog park within walking distance, although I prefer to be active with the dogs myself. We may also take trips to Point Pinole or the beach at the Albany Bulb.

I am a marriage and family therapist working from home through telemedicine. My client schedule is spaced throughout the day so I have ample time to play, walk, and hike with dogs in my care. The dogs also always have access to my large fenced yard and can come in and out as they wish.
