Every day is a Doggy Day! Always having a strong love of dogs and all animals, I could barely wait until I graduated from college so that I could finally get my own dog. The compassion, unconditional love and pure bliss I receive from ALL dogs constantly amazes me. I began dog-sitting initially as a trade-off with other friends of mine who also had dogs: they'd sit for my dog when I needed to travel, and I'd sit for their pets when they either traveled or simply needed someone to drop-in and give their furry friends some love. After several years of dog-sitting for many friends, they began referring me to their other friends. A number of folks have been suggesting I advertise as a pet-sitter to others. I wish I had thought of it much sooner, because caring for and spending time with dogs is one of my favorite things to do. So, here I am! My dog, Charlee, and I absolutely love having guest pups come to stay with us while their owners are away and, as mentioned below, I’ve found it to be a huge benefit for Charlee, both in health and socially. Your dog will receive constant love and affection during their stay. I always request sending your dog’s normal routine when making a reservation, so that I can follow it while he/she stays. I do require a meet-n-greet before the reservation dates so that I can meet both you and your pup and we can get acquainted. It’s also a great time for Charlee to meet your dog (if it’s for an overnight request). I am also available to dog-sit in your home during overnights. However, please keep in mind that I have my own dog, and after a meet-n-greet, we can determine if it’ll be a good fit. Most of my clients whom I house/dog sit for love for Charlee to come along, as he keeps their pup company. **all dogs need to be on a Flea/Tick medication, be spayed/neutered & house trained. Good news UPDATE: My own dog, Charlee, was diagnosed with mitral valve heart murmur over a year ago. When I took him to his cardiologist for 6-month check up, I was over-the-moon happy when we learned Charlee had not progressed! The heart vet doc said, "Whatever you’ve been doing, keep doing it. Because it's helping with his heart health and he's probably very happy with quality of life." I believe that has been attributed to the increased socialization Charlee has had since I began sitting services through Rover. So a huge THANK YOU to Rover and especially to my dog and pet clients.
