I am newly dogless. I recently put down my three legged pit bull Dez after a long battle with dysplasia and arthritis. I have always cared for some type of animal my entire life. I grew up with hamsters, bunnies, lizards and frogs..fish, dogs, snakes (and the mice that the snake wouldn’t eat), a guinea pig named Ozzy Osbourne, a full blown aviary and a miniature pot belly pig named Link who lived in my apartment. From the small to the strange, I have cared for it. I have experience administering medication and intramuscular injections (although Dez was a saint and would let me do practically anything).
