The paw-fect match for your pet!

Pet care experience

Hi there! I am a 25 year old looking for regular dog walking clients and hoping to be able to do long or short-term housesitting appointments. I am clean, responsible, and have taken many dog training courses. Dog enrichment and happiness is one of my most devoted passions. Taking care of your home and spending time with your pets is something I love doing. Leaving your home and pets can be stressful. With me, it’s all in the care of a responsible, communicative young adult. I have owned and loved a reactive dog, and am adept at understanding dog body language and behavior. I’ve trained my own service dog as well. I have been caring for my community’s dogs and pets in general for over 10 years. I also have experience with farm animals such as goats, horses, and chickens, as well as a wide variety of houseplants.

McKenna is an amazing pet sitter and house sitter! I felt extremely comfortable and confident that she was taking great care of our pets. And she updated with photos and videos just often enough. Our dogs were relaxed and happy when we returned which is a great sign that they had a fun time and were not stressed about our absense. Would highly recommend!

Not only did we feel comfortable with leaving Mac with Mckenna but I really think Mac was also. We had a great time enjoying our weekend and did not feel a bit guilty leaving Mac with Mckenna knowing he was getting all sorts of attention. The pictures that Mckenna sent were hilarious. We truly thank you Mckenna for the work and attention you gave to Mac. Without hesitation we would definitely want you to take care of Mac again. Mike Lorna and Wookie

McKenna is the best person to be a dog sitter. I had the pleasure of living close by her when she took care of her dog by herself while balancing being an RA and being fully enrolled as a college student. I was also an RA with her and going to the same school and I have no idea how she was able to take such good care of her dog with all of our other time commitments. Her dog was absolutely spoiled, going on daily walks and getting to play outside with McKenna all the time. McKenna has great patients for dogs, and she cares so much about them it is admirable. I would trust my dog with her without a doubt. She is one of the most caring people I have ever met and this will translate to dog sitting. Dogs are always cared for by McKenna, a dog owner would never have to worry with their dog in McKenna's hands!

Safety, trust & environment

My dog is my best friend, and providing him with an exciting, enriching life is my priority. I go on many hikes a week, do regular obedience and skill training, as well as decompression walks. The safety of everyone involved in pet services is an essential element to pet caretaking, and making sure the happiness and health of your pet and home is at the forefront of my mind. In cases of reactive dogs, I focus on under threshold activities and learning skills such as impulse control, look-and-dismiss, social play, and unlearning fear responses.

Let me know if your dog has any behavioral or unique health needs. I have experience with reactivity, senior dogs, administering medication, and dogs with special needs and I am happy to accommodate for those things.

A typical day

I believe that hikes and wildlife activities are some of the best forms of exercise your dog can have. A typical day will begin with a morning cuddle and play session, followed by enrichment breakfast and some training. We will then explore a local large park or hiking trail, and come back to rest and relax. The afternoon will consist of more play, maybe a nice sit in the yard while I throw the ball, and then dinner before settling down and enjoying a walk before bed, depending on your pups needs!
