Pet care experience
Hello! A little bit about me, I have been pet sitting since I was 8 years old. I love all animals and currently have a one year old cat named Iggy. I am also a foster for Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue. I have experience taking care of smaller animals such as bunnies, birds, and reptiles. I have experience with taking dogs on walks as well as taking care of them and the home while the family is away. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. I have walked dogs with gentle leaders, easy walk harnesses, pronged collar, and a normal collar. I am very open to using other methods as well. I look forward to many more opportunities to work with dogs and other pets!

Maya was WONDERFUL - I cannot begin to express how happy we were with our experience and the comfort to know our cats were well taken care of. Maya truly cares about all the animals she cares for and openly communicates with the owners as needed or based on prefernce. This was the first time we left our cats for more than 5 days and also the first time we had someone other than family or a friend watch them. We didnt have to worry at all. Maya was super responsive to questions or request I had and she was great at updating us throughout our vacation. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing that they were being cared for just as we would have if we were home.

The safety of your pet is my top priority while it is in my care. I am more than happy to follow the safety guidelines set out but the owner and would never allow the dog off leash and outside a gated area while I am responsible for it. When leaving the house, I will always use a leash and if there are some concerns inside the home, then I will either close the door to those rooms, keep the dog in a leash, or remove the object from the environment and put it in a place out of reach from the dog.

Before I start caring for a dog I like to know a little bit about its personality so I can help you and your dog feel comfortable while it is in my care. I am comfortable and willing to work with a large range of dogs, from extremely friendly to shy and reserved. I think it is very important to meet ahead of time (if at all possible) so I can get to know your dog and for your dog to become comfortable with me.
A typical day
I am open to walking dogs anywhere. I enjoy having the opportunity to explore new places with a furry friend. One of my favorite activities is playing fetch, whether that’s with a ball or frisbee!

Availability
I work a full-time remote job so my schedule is very flexible and accommodating to the needs of your pet. I am more than happy to do potty breaks and walks during the day as well as after work hours.
