I dogsat all throughout my youth for neighbors and then my bosses. When I moved to DC from Puerto Rico, I signed up for Rover to earn money until I was accepted into my PhD program. Now, I still do Rover because I love animals. I have over 3 years experience in the DC area on top of the years of experience I had growing up between Florida and PR. I am very flexible with availability with notice! I am exquisite at sharing affection and treating all animals as my own. Animals are our gateway to compassion and connection, and I take this as seriously as anything else. My dogs and cats helped me through many difficult things in my life. Treating all animals with as much respect and care that they deserve is as rewarding to me as it is to them.

May took wonderful care of my anxious little pup and energetic kitten. She sent updates on how they were doing and communicated clearly.
May was absolutely fantastic with my pups. I have one older dude and one younger one. And she took really good care of both the dogs and he house. She sent regular updates and barely left a foot print from being there! I wouldn’t hesitate to bring her back. Not only that, when my flights were running late she made sure to check if I was going to make and reassured me that if needed she could go back to the house. May is sincerely a gem!

It is important to be as calm as possible around animals. I have had animals attack me randomly, so I understand the fear that may come with animals, especially if they're anxious. However, those experiences have made me more intuitive about being as calm and relaxed as possible around animals, especially those with behavioral issues.

I have no preference or prejudice for any dogs! I was raised with pitbulls and Pomeranians so my experience ranges widely. I am also obsessed with cats.
A typical day
I love walks and running around with dogs! I am especially great at rub downs to help calm anxious dogs as my dogs back home had anxiety. I am also a cat lover and am obsessed with giving them back rubs. I have a technique now!

I am an at-home researcher, so my schedule is flexible. However, I do have service area limits — I typically don’t like traveling more than 20 minutes each way.
