Pet care experience
Please note that the posted rates are guidelines, We will discuss what your specific needs are, and we can determine the price from there. I have taken care of dogs of my own for all of my life, and have cared for the animals of friends and family, frequently, for the past 7 or so years, with professional experience in the last 3 years. I have taken care of crazies, and don't mind the high-energy playful types, as well as the ones who would rather sleep all day. I am a volunteer at P.A.W.S. of Tinley Park, and have training in safe handling of unfamiliar dogs, and regularly deal with several personalities and temperaments. Furthermore I am 3 weeks from graduating the Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy, and expect to be an LMT by December, and will continue with further training for canine massage therapy. I can offer basic relaxation work for dogs. I can assist with training.

Max is a great pet sitter. I had my qualms about using a stranger through Rover, but it worked out great. He was great with a senior dog that had just recovered from a life-threatening illness that had other medical issues as well. He picked up all the poop (no one else has ever done that!) and even wiped our dog's butt which she needs due to her problems. He communicated well, sending us texts. I am sure he will become even more experienced in future and send pics and videos. We were 1700 miles away- 2 days plus by car, so it was very important we have someone reliable and trustworthy. No breed preference, I will sit/care for ANY breed of dog, large or small, and I would just like to know anything in particular that might set them off, if a particular tone will upset them, or if they go INSANE when they see another particular dog, or other animal, or if they hate thunder, and need a particular blanket, or something to that effect. Any information that will help me keep the dog calm and comfortable during my stay with them.
A typical day
I enjoy walking the scenic forest trails, such as Old Plank Trail, but if no trail of that type is nearby, getting the dog more acquainted with his local sidewalks is just as good. ;~) As for activities, it really depends on what the dog enjoys, rope toy, chasing a ball, catching a Frisbee thrown across the yard, let me know if there are any out-of-the-ordinary activities your dog enjoys! I can also assist with training, whether your dog is enrolled in a program, and needs some extra practice, or you just want some help getting the basics across. ;~P
