I've had pets my entire life, typically two cats and two dogs at a time. In addition, I have personal experience with hedgehogs, hamsters, and chickens, plus SPCA volunteer experience. My pets have had a variety of abilities, backgrounds, and temperaments, so I feel confident in my skill of working with a range of animals.

Maxwell did a great job house sitting with our Boston Terrier. He is polite, arrived on time and sent us pictures & videos of our dog while we were out. I could tell that our dog enjoyed her time with him. We will definitely be using him again!

For walking, I like to know ahead of time how strongly they pull on a leash and how they respond to other dogs while going on walks. Energy level is also important, just so I can be prepared to know what type of care they require.
A typical day
I used to walk dogs for my local SPCA during the summer. I like to make sure dogs have a reasonable amount of time to do their sniffing and then move on to new, interesting areas for them to explore. All while keeping their safety and proximity to ticks in mind, of course. When at home, it depends on the sort of dog. If they just want to chill and be pet, I can happily oblige them. If they want to play with a toy or run around in the yard, I can easily do that too.

Availability
I work per-diem as a therapy aide at a hospital, so my routine changes week to week, but I only work morning to afternoon 2-3 days a week. Therefore, I have availability most days.
