I do not recommend this sitter Maxine/Claire for in home house sitting. They watched my dogs from Aug 20th-25th. My dogs were left alone for over 12 hours a day. I know this because I have cameras and a security system which tells me when the door opens. During the meet and greet I told her my 2 dogs are good for about 8 hours. They do not have accidents when I am home or at work. When I had first arrived to my destination I had noticed I didn’t get a notification that my door was opened and that she had been to my house. I text her and she lied saying that she was there and would be back within 30 minutes. She had not been to my house yet. Finally got a notification that she was there about an hour later. My dogs were left alone for about 14 hours that day. When I arrived home on the 25th my house smelled of urine and feces. I saw a couple urine spots on the floor and quickly cleaned them up. My yard was also full of feces. Despite me communicating that my older dog Bella 17years needs to be watched she allowed my dog to eat feces which resulted in my dog having diarrhea and a vet visit upon my return. As time went on the smell of urine continued to strengthen in my room. To which I found a giant puddle of urine that had went under my bed. I cleaned it however it seems to have seeped thro the flooring and my room still smells of urine. The sitter did not end up staying with my animals the last 2 nights. I have used rover in the past and have had great experiences. However this sitter did not properly care for my animals in my own home. My dogs suffered a great deal while I was away. I have placed a former complaint to Rover and have not received much help. I am leaving this review so others animals do not suffer like mine did. Thank You!

We’ve left our pup under the care of Maxine multiple times. We just went on another vacation without worrying about our pup knowing he’s in good hands. Thank you Maxine!!!
