Lifetime dog lover ready to play!

Pet care experience

Dog lover since birth, dog walker since beginning of 2016. I am 20 years old and have worked with animals for over half a year as a dog handler, and dog bather, as well as training to become a dog groomer and trainer. Dogs are my passion, and I love all of them, no breed excluded. Every dog deserves a good walk and a friend when the owner is unable to provide such care at the time, and I'm here to do just that. I love to interact with not just dogs, but with their family as well. Getting to know what their goals for their dog are, and how they're doing in their everyday life is something I greatly enjoy doing. Keeping the owners engaged in their dog's walks by letting them know how they're doing with a nice report card, pictures, etc, is one way I interact with the family to let them know how their dog is doing. Along with dog walking, I pet/house sit (doing feeding, walks, cleaning, etc). Keeping pets company, and keeping them happy is something I love to do, so they'll get all the love they need while you're away!

Maxine was great to work with during my last work trip to Nashville. She was available to come visit the girls before I left for the trip making us both comfortable before booking. I received lots of wonderful pictures and messages during her stay this week. It was very comforting to know my dogs were in great hands with Maxine! She left a very detailed account on my counter of all their walks, feedings, bathroom breaks and cuddle time while I was away. I will 100% use Max again in the future! She was fantastic!

I've been friends with Maxine for about seven years now and she has always been such a dog enthusiast, owning two dogs and always doting on them. So naturally, it was no surprise when she started looking for jobs walking dogs, and got some and did well. And the fact she got a job that was a good 45 minute drive away being a dog handler and that she was always prompt (always making sure she wasn't late to work if she saw me beforehand, being wary of the time) just shows the dedication. Few jobs I can think of suit her more than working with dogs. And she's even got some similar attributes to the dogs she treats with such care as well: she's always amiable, always friendly, always fun. And my dog, who passed recently, was crazy about her, and she was arguably even crazier about him (and it was rare for someone to match his energy- Charlie was a big boy that liked to be boisterous until the last couple of years). And in the last couple of years he was with us, she was always asking about him, even if we weren't at my house. And when we were, she'd always fuss over him, saying how skinny he was. (We took the best care of him, he was just getting very old. He lived to be nearly 15 years old- which was great for a dog of his size.) She even helped by offering some of her pearls of pupper wisdom (exact advice, I can't recall off the top of my head) that helped ease his pain in the months before his passing. She's always so happy when she sees any dog when we're out. In fact, she'll often squeal when she sees on, discreetly nudging me and whispering with childlike excitement, "DOG!! LOOK!! IT'S A PUPPY!!" But most notable, possibly, is how much she cares about not just her dogs, not just her friend's or family's dogs, but ALL dogs. Every time we walk around downtown or the bike trails or anything, and we see a missing dog poster, she'll always snap a photo and send it to people she knows in the area. Most of the time, if not every time, she'll even publicly post it on Facebook. I know Max to have a heart of gold and dogs have a very special, and very big place in it.

I've known Max for many many many years and she must have treated my dog like absolute royalty. One time I went to Pittsburgh for a week and left little Molly with her. When we left she had this red stain on her leg fur from a surgery she had when she was a pup. When we got back, the stain was gone. You don't understand we tried everything to get that thing out. Except for Max. We didn't even ask for it we just thought it was going be that color forever, and Max totally did us a solid for it and Molly didn't want to leave. Bring a steak or a treat when you collect your dog, you're gonna need it to bribe them back to you.

Your dog's favorite place to play is my favorite place to play. From going to the park with your energetic pup and running around till exhaustion, or just a nice, relaxing stroll down the street for your gentle senior dog, I'm up for anything.
