Pet care experience
My love for animals began at a very young age. I had cats all of my life growing up and was always surrounded by my friends’ dogs. Dogs just make sense to me. I’m of the firm personal belief that dogs are better than humans and we don’t deserve them, but if you do have a dog in your life, you should make sure they are your top priority. It really is like owning your own fur baby and it’s the most rewarding, FUN experience getting to care for dogs from all walks of life. I started about 3 years ago trying to actually make some money doing it. Why not get paid for something you love, right? It’s a dream. My availability is limited, but fully mapped out at all times for your and my convenience. I make up for it with the quality of attention and care I put in to my stays with your best friend(s). I am a very active individual, so playtime with your pups can be as extensive as the dog needs. We both benefit from the exercise and they start associating me with fun times so possible future stays will be even more enjoyable for them! I’ve taken care of a myriad of personalities. If you think your dog is a challenge, I’m the right guy for you.

Maximilian did a great job with our hound dogs. We have one very old dog and one very young dog, and he did an excellent job caring for them both, whether that meant giving medication or playing chase and fetch. They both took to Maximilian right away, and he was great about sending us photos and updates while we were gone. We--humans and hounds--look forward to working with him again!
I am so thankful we found Maximilian!! He went above and beyond my expectations keeping my two dogs as well as house sitting for a week with very little notice. Maximilian sent pictures and updates throughout the week, and I never worried about my babies. I highly recommend Maximilian, and won't hesitate asking him to help out in the future!
Maximilian sends these thoughtful updates when he completes drop-in visits; it really brightens my day. I am beyond stoked for my dog and his new friend!
Maximilian did a great job watching my dog while I was out of town. I came home to a happy pup and the house looked exactly how I left it. He sent me pics and updates everyday which was great to see. I would definitely recommend him for your dog!

The more details, the better! Each dog has its own very unique personality that has certain needs. If they are anxious or aggressive around new people, I love detailed instructions on how to acclimate them to my presence. I’m more than happy to meet your pups before the stay begins as many times as it takes to make sure they’re comfortable. Otherwise, I default with giving them treats from a seated position upon meeting, that way my 6 foot tall self doesn’t intimidate them too much and they instantly associate me with good things. My experience lies almost mainly with medium-large breeds. The largest ones I’ve taken care of were Black Labs and the smallest were Pomeranians. No preferences here.
A typical day
If allowed to transport your pup, I’m more than happy to take them for wonderful scenic walks or runs in any park setting. I probably would not take them to a downtown area as to avoid possible conflicts with other pups in close proximity. I like to be able to make sure the dog stays close and safe when I know there are other dogs around. I never get tired of fetch or tug of war with pups, but I’m also happy to play a good game of chase around your fenced in yard!
