All the best for our canine friends

Pet care experience

Proactive in my approach to care-taking, the dog’s needs come first. That may mean a walk or a run, and it could mean a full dish or some medications. I make sure I know exactly what each dog requires, and I make sure that is met. Communication is essential for me. I am up-front and direct and will inform you of any noteworthy observations immediately. I believe that relationships are build on trust, and I act on this belief in both my interactions with my canine friends and their owners. I work fully remotely in my own business teaching online music lessons. Rover and housesitting is something I do on the side but I love it! Because of my work, I will be able to truly be present with your animals, especially if they are nervous. I do leave regularly to go to the gym and of course for things like grocery shopping, but otherwise I will be able to stay in your place full-time! I live in a two story apartment with a medium sized backyard and a large field in the front! The neighborhood is in a wooded area that is great for running and walking. The streets are not busy.

Great experience. Max was punctual, flexible and great to work with - pretty sure Finn had fun too!

We have 2 rescue dogs, one of which is very fearful of new people and especially men. Max definitely has a way with dogs as she was pretty comfortable with him from the beginning. Max was very accommodating, communicative, took excellent care of the dogs and left our house clean and in great condition. We certainly would recommend Max for pet care and we would also have him watch our dogs again!

Max was fantastic and took excellent care of our anxious, energetic Labrador! Max came and met our dog beforehand so she would be familiar with him. He took her on lots of outings and wore her out every day. Max obviously loves animals and is a very thoughtful dog sitter. We felt really good about leaving our dog in his care. We highly recommend Max and he will be our first choice for dog sitters going forward!

Our dogs and cats had a great week with Max! Our youngest pup is very shy and Max was patient with her and won her over. He walked the dogs several times a day and took them on adventures. He was great at communicating and gave daily updates with photos which were greatly appreciated!

I grew up with a dog who was both a bit nervous and sometimes aggressive - so it is my nature to pull off to the side during a walk if other dogs approach, and to always keep a dog leashed that I do not own (your dog). With that said, I do have a touch with animals, especially nervous dogs. Being a person who is gentle and patient, even the most nervous dogs have warmed up to me after a few days during a stay. I will also listen attentively to any specific instructions you have regarding the safety and well-being of your animals.

Information Max W. would like to know about your pet

I don’t have any breed preferences. I would like to know what the diet of your dog is, and their typical exercise preferences and schedule. That way, I can ensure to feed the dog as they would be fed from you, and exercise them in a similar manner as well.

A typical day

I love being out in nature and doing so with a dog makes it all the better! I enjoy neighborhood walks as well as hikes in the woods. I can go up a mountain too, if your dog likes that! Fresh air is important to me, so even just going out in the backyard to throw a toy or run around will make me and the dog happy.

My main business is a fully remote music lesson teaching business, which is mostly guitar. Because of this, I don't have any kind of commute for my work - I just require a nice Wi-Fi connection! This works great for your animals. I do tend to go to the gym regularly to lift weights, but otherwise you can expect me to be home more than a sitter who works a day job!
