My family had about every kind of animal growing up: dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ducks, and peacocks. From the time I was born, my family always had a dog, and I learned how to train, love, and care for dogs throughout my childhood. We always had medium to large size dogs. Most of them were mixed breeds often containing Lab, German Shepard, Australian Shepard, and, among others, Husky. We also had a pure-bred Basset Hound, who was my personal favorite. Now, I have a Great Dane of my own! In addition to caring for my own dogs, I have also done dog sitting for various friends over the years.
