Large fenced yard

Pet care experience

Your dog will get lots of exercise and lots of belly rubs and back scratches. We have a large fenced in yard and several parks close by for walking. Your pupper will be treated with love, care, and patience. We will make them feel at home or we will come to your home. We are also available for drop in feedings, dog walking, taking your dog to the park or taking them to and from the veterinarian or groomer. Our family had two loving and loved dogs who went over the rainbow bridge in recent years. While he haven’t wished to add a dog to our family at the present time we feel a desire to spend time with the best creatures on God’s green earth. I left my dog (Bruno) in Max’s care for a short stay. Bruno has stayed with many other Rover sitters and with other pets in their houses. However, this time it was different. When I picked up Burno he was acting strange. I asked Max if anything had happened to Bruno while he was with them because it was very unusual behavior for him. He assured me that nothing had happened, and he and his wife assured me over and over again. They said he is acting strange probably because he missed me. I got home and noticed that he had blood on his neck and after he settled I checked further and found puncher wounds around his neck and head. I called Max and asked for an explanation, after denying it multiple times he finally told me that the other dog (they were sitting) growled at Bruno but nothing happened as Max was right there. When I sent him pictures of Bruno’s neck and head (see attached) where he was bleeding Max changed his statement and said he “heard” the growl and by the time he came downstairs the dogs were away from each other. He completely lied and tried to hide what took place. There is a huge level of trust and respect that’s on the line when we leave our four-legged family members with a stranger. I can understand that accidents happen but lying about them and trying to hide them is not the way to build a relationship. I felt responsible and helpless to see my baby get hurt and in pain and there was nothing I could do for him. Instead, we had to spend another 4 hours at the vet getting his wounds treated which probably traumatized him even further. While later admitting that the other dog did attack Bruno they never thought to check up on him after the accident. They never offered to help with the vet bill which I incurred in hundreds due to their negligence. I am amazed that they are still active on Rover for future business. I would negative stars if I could. I advise you to find a sitter who is more open and transparent about how your pet is treated in their care.

Our Charlie 1st time away from his family was a success! He was less than a year old and very energetic. Max and family are so loving and caring. I would definitely use them again.
