Max stepped up in an emergency situation that occurred while we were out of the country and took over a booking when our regular sitter became ill. Upon our return the dogs appeared cared for. The 1 star review is due to his violation of our personal belongings. I keep several guns (no ammo) in gun cases in the spare bedroom he stayed in and he went through each one and left one out of the case. Kept in this same closet are my shooting bags which had been completely rifled through with contents on the floor. He went through both master bedroom nightstands and several items in the garage storage. I sent him two texts asking him, why and what he was looking for but he has chosen not to respond. His behavior has caused us to have the house re-keyed and our inactive alarm system re-activated. His rate is very cheap compared to other sitters in the area. I hope I'm wrong but it appears and it's contents have been categorized for a future theft, most likely not by Max but possibly by an associate. He also had his girlfriend who is unauthorized by Rover spending several days and nights with him. This has all been reported to Rover customer support.

Max is wonderful with dogs and cats. He fed, walked and cared for our fantastic mutt, Milo, who lived with us for 12 years, once literally rescuing him from being hit by a car- at some risk to his own safety. He also fed, walked and helped raise our wonderful Aussiedoodle Molly. Many times when we leave town, Max stays at the house caring for both Molly and our 17 year old cat Marcel. He is gentle and loving with the animals. He also takes Molly on long walks, plays endless games of fetch with her and hangs out with her at the local dog park. I would trust Max with any dog- no matter the temperament.
