My friends and family often comment that I am not really human, I am golden retriever in disguise! I have grown up with and lived most my life with dogs, and life's greatest joys come when you are walking, playing with, or snuggling with one. My family has primarily owned goldens, but I am not biased. I love them all. I do have a soft spot for giant fluffy dogs though. Have a ball? I will throw it! How about a game of tug with your favorite toy? Just need some companionship, someone to rub your belly? I will happily do that as well. I currently have no pets of my own, so I would love the chance to get to help you with yours.

This was my second time using Maureen to watch my 2 white German Shepherds over a weekend. Maureen did a great job getting my youngest pup (who is fearful & can sometimes be quite intimidating) to warm up to her. Bella even played ball with Maureen! I received text updates, pictures and even a video sent by Maureen at each of the 2 visits per day for 4 days. Maureen's messages definitely helped calm the fears I may have felt about leaving my dogs for the weekend. I highly recommend Maureen S. and I will be using her again whenever we travel!
Maureen is wonderful! My dog absolutely adores her and I feel completely comfortable leaving him in her care. You can tell she has a real connection and love for animals. I’m so glad I found her through Rover!
I am tempted to say awful just so I can keep others from choosing Maureen and keep her available to ourselves, but the truth is WONDERFUL. A very nice (and practical) person, immediately in synch with my wife, myself, and our two dogs, and very competent and voluntarily doing things above and beyond the call of duty (e.g, working with Comcast to replace equipment after a lightening strike toasted our modum). The house was cleaner than we left it, the dogs were happy as their routine and life was essentially the same after we left, only the faces changed. We were extremely satisfied, intend to use Maureen again immediately, and glad we used Rover to discover her.
Maureen was my dog/house sitter for years. She was super enthusiastic and loved my dogs like they were her own. They loved her so much, too and always seemed happy when she came. She was always willing to help me out in a squeeze, and I could trust her to stay at my house and make sure everyone was happy. Even after moving, my husband and I have considered flying her to us to dog sit rather than boarding our pups ?

I would like to know a little bit about the dog's temperament. I have sat for dogs that get such bad separation anxiety they refuse to eat, drink, or go potty while their owner is away. I have also sat for dogs that are afraid of strangers and have a tendency to lash out and bite. So no breed preferences but i do have a tendency to be a bit leerier of dogs that are overly protective and bite. In those cases I would ask for a time to come get to know the dog with the owner around, before the dog is left in my care.
