I currently have two sweet beagle-schnauzer mixes named George and Little, they are 12 year-old brother and sister. I also have two one-year old brother cats. Both times, I went to the shelter to get one and came home with two - I'm a sucker for siblings. No regrets. They are all so cute and entertaining. I am consistent with my dogs and that has resulted in generally well behaved dogs with little effort. My dogs are very affectionate and I am happy to provide cuddles to your pack. My main concern is keeping them safe and making sure their time away from you is not stressful. Also, I only board two dogs at a time maximum to make sure your pup gets the attention they deserve. Having cared for puppies and elderly dogs, I am comfortable with special needs dogs that require medicine or extra care and consideration. I used to think it would be less stressful for my dogs if they stayed in my house while I was away. But, since I have been doing this, I think boarding at someone's home is better. They are not looking for you or their routine. It's a good distraction. They are in a new environment and I think it helps them take their mind off your absence. I have a clear recent background check that I can supply upon request.
