Thanks to having a zoologist father, I grew up with horses, a dog, cats, rabbits, chinchillas, hedgehogs, snakes, geckos, and mice. Through 4-H cared for and worked with llamas, guanaco, goats and through college jobs cared for cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, quail, frogs, rats, guinea pigs. Now my husband and I live on a farmette with 2 warmblood horses and 1 dog (Shiba Inu, neutered male) on 2.5 acres. I work full time at UW-Madison so would be interested in animal care that works with my schedule (1st shift), commute from Sun Prairie area, and/or weekend activities. I’ve house-sat/animal sat for years since I was young up through college both independently and for a petsitting business (this includes giving medications occasionally). I also have a degree in Animal Science where I emphasized in Animal Behavior. I understand that to some, their animals are like their children, to some they are livestock and some fall somewhere in between.
