ANIMALS RULE!!!! ANIMAL LOVER!!!! UR FUR BABIES BFF!!!!!! I have had the pleasure of caring for and being loved, unconditionally, by many wonderful animals. Specifically many dogs throughout the years have warmed my heart and given me endless wet kisses!!! ALL of my fur babies have been and are rescues, though I feel they rescue me! I have had big dogs like Pitbulls, Rottweilers, Huskies, German Shepards, Newfoundlands, Greyhounds, & small dogs like Tea cup Poodles, Miniature Greyhounds, all breeds of terriers, beagles, bull dogs, and many others! I have cared for newborn puppies with their many needs. I have cared for dogs with disabilities, both physical and mental. I have cared for older dogs, assuring them joyful, wonderful, and comfortable lives for as long as possible. I believe ALL animals are angels and unconditional loving creatures that we r blessed to have in our lives! With this belief I have become certified as an Animal Communicator which has helped me in this life long love of caring and loving ALL Gods creatures! Maureen took great loving care of our pets when we took a trip south this winter. I Highly recommend her!
Let me start by saying I like my 2 cats to have 2 visits per day so I chose the closest and least expensive sitter. The sitter I normally use was away so I selected Maureen based on the the above for 12/20-28/23.. She initially communicated and we set up a meeting for her to meet the cats on 12/19. The day of the meeting she asked if I could drop off the key. I asked why and she never replied to my 3 texts. When I went into the booking she charged the holiday rate for all 9 days and not just 12/25. I tried in vain to book another sitter so I changed the booking to 1x per day. She never met my cats or saw the layout in my apartment, fortunately I always leave very detailed instructions. She completed the booking as was very effusive about my cats and sent lots of pics, but many were blurry. I came home and the apartment was clean and the cats happy to see me. I really felt like this was a bait and switch situation since she was not up front that the $30 holiday rate would apply to each visit and she was initially non-responsive to my texts. I will not use Maureen again.
I lived in Portland for two years and used Maureen as my cat sitter for that entire time - she’s so wonderful & takes such good care of my cat, I felt less guilty going out of town knowing she was in good hands. I’m going to miss her and will 100% be using her again if/when I move back to Portland in the future!
Maureen is always wonderful!!!! I rest assured on vacation knowing she is taking great care of my cat! She sends lots of photos and has a great personality! Will definitely book for future needs (: thanks, Mo!

I would ask the parents for a complete list and notes of preferences such as: food (brand, amount, how many times a day, whether foods left out all the time or measured), preferred activities, sleeping arrangements, any special toys, treats, any medications or care needed and of course Vet/Dr information!
A typical day
I like to find out from the parents what is the normal routine that the dog enjoys. I then ask them if it would be ok for the dog(s) to explore new or other places. Once I get the ok I will let the dog and parents know where I plan on going and then we can continue to keep the dog active, happy, entertained and SAFE!!!
