Pet care experience
PLEASE NOTE: I AM CURRENTLY IN A PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAM. I may not be responsive or able to get back to work at this time. I will update as soon as I am healthy again. ~Feel free to contact me about watching your reptiles and amphibians! I have several years of experience feeding f/t and live, handling, cleaning tanks, etc.~ My first friend and guardian angel was my childhood pup, Lady. Since she passed on, I have dedicated much of my time to caring for animals in need the way she cared for me. From my rescue ball python Yiggy, to my late disabled senior kitty Charlie, to my bundle of energy kitten Wheatley, I have poured my heart into every living thing I can. Multiple species over a long period of time has taught me how to read body language like a pro! I can also administer medicine (even getting creative with it, if need be) and have been known to be the best ear-scritcher in town. Please note: for snakes over 6 feet, venomous snakes, and larger reptiles, I will need to bring my partner who is also experienced in reptile care to make sure both myself and your animal are safe.

Maureen was fantastic again, this was my second time having her care for my animals and she rolled with their needs and was able to manage while I was out of contact for a while! Will definitely have her again if needed!
Maureen did a wonderful job with our 2 big silly dogs who have tons of energy and can be a little *much* with newcomers. Came home to all in order and received an update from Maureen with some nice photos for peace of mind - much appreciated!
Maureen was an excellent sitter! She came to the meet and greet prepared with questions and really took quickly to the dogs. It is very clear that Maureen loves dogs and is very capable of handling our 2 lab/pit mixes who are VERY active. During her stay she was great at communicating and the dogs had a great time. She went the extra mile on so many things, it was a joy to come home and see that everything had been so well taken care of. And the dogs were happy and worn out! We will absolutely be using Maureen again in the future.
Maureen took excellent care of my high energy high maintenance large dog as well as my other three fur babies! house was left in perfect shape. Definitely hope to have her sit again.

I also would like to know ahead of time what specific training techniques your animal is used to so I can continue to uphold the behavioral standard you have set. The best part about caring for animals is getting to interact with them, so my care is very hands on, playful, and exciting!

I also like to know ahead of time how they interact with other animals, bikes, cars, and people while outside. Finally, if your pet has any specific behaviors I should know about (do they hate being touched in a certain place? Do they love ear scritches or prefer butt pats?)
A typical day
I love to skate and would have a blast with smaller dogs on a smooth trail, and with larger and more active pups I adore some woodsy walks/jogs. Trips to get pup cups, swim in lakes, and play fetch are also in order! For couch potato and senior dogs, mental stimulation is important too, and I’d love to play some games with them.

Availability
My partner and I live together, and while he works I care for the home and animals. We’re new to the area, and I don’t have a job or many other activities at the moment, so I am looking to simply experience the joy of caring for some animal friends who need it; this makes my schedule pretty open.
