I have over 20 years of pet care experience, ranging from volunteering at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, to veterinary assistant, to doggie daycare and finally have been a dog walker for sensitive and special needs dogs the past 9 years. I focus on positive reinforcement, gentle commands and am in tune with dog body language.

Maureen has walked our dog the past 4 years and has done an amazing job! Our pup is high energy and often triggered by squirrels, cats, and occasionally other dogs. Maureen has expertly been able to use positive dog training skills to redirect him. She always provides walk updates with photos and a run down of all the major walk highlights. Maureen has also pitched in when we needed last minute dog walks. Highly recommend Maureen!
Maureen has cared for and walked our dog Woodward for the past six years! She is greatly missed by our family back on the west coast. Woodward can be an anxious dog and can be reactive on a leash. Maureen has really helped accommodate his needs while also giving him (and us) more confidence on walks! She's great at advocating for him (e.g., when unleashed dogs might come up to him unexpectedly) and is super loving. We can see that Woodward loves and trusts her and feels safe with her. Maureen is kind, consistent, trusting, and a great communicator.
Maureen has walked our dogs since 2014. She initially started to walk our German Shepherd when our sheppie girl was recovering from ACL surgery. Maureen was very careful while walking our dog through her recovery. Since then, we have added more pups to our family and Maureen has been great with all of them. Our little terrier had some aggression issues while harnessing and Maureen worked with him using positive reinforcement till the aggression was gone and he was thoroughly comfortable with Maureen. We adopted another Shepherd with separation anxiety and Maureen again worked with our Shepherd with walks and crating her back after walks with treats and kongs. We highly recommend Maureen- she genuinely cares about your animals and willing to work with you to best adapt to their needs and schedules.
Maureen was my dog’s walker from 15 weeks old until she moved to Virginia. Rigby is excellent on leash because of her kind training. She is irreplaceable! You will receive wonderful pictures that she takes on her walks as well as a brief summary of their time together.

I let the dog guide the way as smelling different things is very stimulating for their brains. Depending on how social a dog is, I occasionally allow them to greet other dogs.
