Puppies & Dogs & Fun -- oh my
Pet care experience
While I have my own black lab/beagle/corgi mix that I love for all of his wonderful oddities (seriously, it is as though you take a black lab and he only has about 25% of his legs), I have always loved taking care of other dogs. I have dog sat a moderate amount over the past ten years but as a student with three other jobs, wasn't always able to take on more. But this winter I will have a bit more of a lull (only two jobs and one class!) so I'd love to take on more pup friends! My availability can on occasion be tricky, but I've always worked well at scheduling and time management. So if it works for both parties involved, that's great! I'm looking forward to meeting, walking, and hanging with your dog!

Maureen is a natural dog person. Whenever we have a dog staying at our place & Maureen stops in to visit, the dog lights up. They KNOW she's the BEST. Honestly, there's a million reasons I could recommend Maureen as a dog sitter, but here's a few: she's kind, gentle, fun, high energy, ALWAYS punctual (seriously!), responsible, able to balance a lot of activities without losing her cool...basically, she's the gal you should be messaging right now to book for your doggo!
Maureen would be a wonderful caregiver for dogs. She has always been great with our (now hers) dog, Sam; always attentive to his needs and responsible for his healthcare. His vet was always impressed with his overall condition, especially with his weight, hair, and teeth care. I have always found that Maureen is excellent with pets and also children, which I think is a good indication of how she would be in this position.

I'd like to know different tendencies they'd have with other dogs while walking, both on leash and off. It is also helpful to know their stress triggers and how they interact with strangers. Whatever additional information an owner is able to provide is always incredibly helpful. It is a situation that is better for all parties involved to have as much information about the dog as possible.
A typical day
I like to go to the Barkyard at Lasalle Park with my own dog and have on occasion brought him to the Ellicott Creek dog park (which is amazing!). I also go hiking with my dog in areas that are accessible to pups, such as Tillman Wildlife Refuge out in Clarence, NY. Based on what you'd like for me to provide for your dog, I'd love to act accordingly.
