Pet care experience
After years of working in dog rescue and fostering dogs in my own home, I’ve decided to apply my knowledge, skill and love in caring for dogs in a different way. I know personally how anxiety provoking it can be to leave your family member for a period of time. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, shapes and temperaments. My availability over school breaks and holidays increases as I am a teacher also. I am able to follow medical requirements for pets with special needs. I believe in a positive attitude around pets and have worked with behaviorists in the area of positive reinforcement. It’s helpful to know eating and potty habits. In a multi-dog household, it’s important to know the relationship between the dogs. Preferences on activity and ways of interacting with humans and favorite treats of course! I have a German Shepherd and a Pitbull so I’m a bit partial to the bigger dogs, but I currently watch a chihuahua who has stolen a little piece of my heart too.
A typical day
I live near both Corbett Glen and Ellison Park. I’d love to take your pet on a nice long walk there if s/he is the active type. Of course, who doesn’t love cuddling up on the couch and watching a good movie with a couch potato also? If you don’t have a fenced in yard, I can also bring your dog to my house to run around in my fully privacy fenced, large backyard. It’s all up to what you and your dog desire.
