Pet care experience
I grew up in South Portland with my best friend Patrick, an English Springer Spaniel with big, smelly ears. We played every day together on Willard Beach and the SMCC campus. My work schedule now as a merchant mariner is not conducive to having pets of my own because I ship out for months at a time, so I signed up for Rover to have the opportunity to spend time with yours! When I am home from sea my schedule is open and flexible, so I have the time to provide your pal with loads of attention and quality care. I am conveniently located close to all that South Portland has to offer for awesome parks, beaches, and trails, and having a four-legged friend to go and frolic with makes them all so much more fun!

Look no further. Maureen is your pet sitter. She is AMAZING. She took our beloved dog on lots of adventures, clearly cared for her beautifully, and sent us regular updates. We have never left our dog with anyone other than once with a close friend. We really appreciated knowing she was in good hands and would be loved on, played with, and exercised throughout her stay. Thank you, Maureen! We will definitely call you for our next trip!
Maureen is so responsive, professional, and just fantastic overall. Our dog was so comfortable right when she met her and ran right over to her with no issue when we dropped her off. Maureen communicated with us to give us updates to let us know how she was doing. We would definitely be happy to let our dog stay with her again!!

(1) Does your dog have any aversions to certain people, dogs, or situations? My goal is to always keep your fur friend safe and comfortable, and a heads up on their preferences is a BIG help! (2) Is your dog OK in the car? There are lots of fun walking spots 5-10 minutes away by car, but there are plenty just moments away from the front door too if the car is an issue. (3) Does your dog tend to bark at foot traffic or people sounds? I live in a condo complex and the first floor of my unit is basically in a parking lot, so there is steady foot traffic outside the windows. I also share walls with neighboring units so there are normal apartment noises. If your dog is particularly reactive to these kinds of stimuli then this may not be the best fit for boarding. A typical day
I'm located close to Thomas Knight Park, South Portland Greenbelt trails, Millcreek, Willard Beach, SMCC, Hinkley, Winnick Woods, Fort Williams, Two Lights, Kettle Cove, Robinson Woods, and more! Whether your dog does better on or off leash, with or without lots of other dogs around, there is something for everyone. There's also quick, easy access to the water from my place if your dog likes to swim.
