Pet care experience
When I was a toddler I wanted a dog so bad I started acting like one. I would walk on all fours and bark, mortifying my mom until she caved. I then started taking car of animals at the age of four, and haven’t stopped! I started going over to feed neighbors pets to more responsibilities as I got older. I watch everyone in my families dogs, my friends dogs, neighbors, ect. I love to take dogs on adventures such as going to the boardwalk or heading to Dewey to grab a bite to eat. And of course Rita’s in the summer.

I have yet to meet a better caretaker, companion and lover of dogs than Maura. It’s easy to have an admiration for dogs and animals in a cutesy, topical sort of way; but then there are the people who have an intuitive connection with them — and that’s Maura. Over the past 20+ years, I have been blessed to witness and share in the loving joy Maura has created with the pups in her care. The dogs’ comfort, health, hygiene and emotional well-being are always priority considerations. Maura also has a keen awareness when it comes to observing animal behavior and health, which helped her best care for an ailing dog. She cares down to the details — who else buys a huge doggie sprinkler/pool and shaded lounge bed for their dog? Maura loves to make animals happy, and it’s clear to see whenever they come around her. If you want to feel at ease knowing your pup is being properly cared for, dignified and loved by a caretaker — Maura is the choice.

A typical day
I love taking dogs to check out new things. I have a dog who LOVES CONSTRUCTION, so our daily walks involve walking by and watching construction sites. Parks and any place to mingle with other animals can always be a good time, depending on the dogs temperament of course.
