I have dog-sat for friends multiple times (from one-day periods to entire weekends), and have volunteered at multiple dog adoption events in the Washington, DC area through Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. Earlier in life I was terrified of dogs: I would cross the street if even the gentlest poodle approached me. What sacred me so much was the communication barrier--these pups could be considering pooping on me or something! After I decided to expose myself to what made me so afraid, I realized that, although they cannot speak, dogs can say so much in their own way. I now love dogs with a passion, and try to at least watch dogs playing in the Boston Common once a day or so. I hope to meet you and your pup soon!
