I will ensure they have a safe place to stay and create the smoothest transition for them being away from you. I had a childhood dog for 10 years that I cared for since he was a pup into old age, and I was his primary caretaker. Since then, I married into a family who are small breeders of miniature schnauzers. During the past 5 years I have experience caring for up to 10 newborn puppies along with postpartum mother and father all at the same time. I gained experience with administering medications, potty training, working with dogs of all personality types (shy, aggressive, anxious, and dogs with allergens). I've also learned how to care for many dogs post-surgery.' I am one of those people that would rather sit there and pet animals, especially dogs, over talking to people. Don’t get me wrong, people are great, but a dog is a “man’s” best friend. Animals amaze me and fascinate me and I think they offer the best qualities that can come from being alive: kindness, enthusiasm, and loyalty. People always tell me I’ll treat my dog differently after I have a kid of my own, but I feel like the people that say that don’t see dogs the way I do. Pets are family, regardless if they can speak or not. I will care for your pet just like I care for my own. I have my own pup as well, who is about 1.7 years old. I've had her since she was 8 weeks. She is great with other dogs, she has never met another dog she didn't like. She is so gentle with elderly dogs and small dogs.
