Pet care experience
I have been on this app around 6 months now and have taken care of a variety of dogs, cats and guinea pigs. I also work on Wag and occasionally dog walk through that app. I absolutely love working with this company and for the most part my schedule is free. With that said I work full time at the Cheesecake Factory in Green Hills around 6 days a week from 4-11pm or so. I can sit, walk and in the future hopefully board animals. My best times are from 8am-3pm and 11pm-overnight. Please let me know what works best with you as well! I work mostly with the owner in seeing what needs to be provided and will usually come to see the pet beforehand just to see if it’s the right fit. With that said I take the utmost care for animals and am myself an animal rights activist and vegan. I served in the Peace Corps as a Health Volunteer and have multiple years of experience in the Development / NGO Industry.

Highly recommend booking with Matthew! I continue to utilize him for dog walking services. I feel reassured that my pup is happier having someone come by mid-day to take her out. Matthew is quick to respond, keeps me updated daily & always sends a photo. 🙂
Matthew waa great! I got pics of my babies every time he dropped in, and he was on time every day. I will definitely have Matthew take care of my pets again!
He tried to get me to Venmo him bc Rover takes out a percentage and then said he completely forgot!! Ugh. I was out of town and had to scramble. He was apologetic but don’t feel good about how this was handled.

I make sure they have food and water available / or need to be refed. I am around them at all times, I don’t leave the animal out of my site, and will generally walk them as much as I can for healthy exercise and to be outdoors.

Nothing too much besides the time frame. I don’t mind usually spending an extra 10-15 minutes per visit because I typically don’t think 30 minutes is enough time.
A typical day
I like to take dogs on walks longer than would normally be done. I think it’s important for them to get out of the house and be a part of nature. I will spend all of my attention and nurture on them. I do photography on the side and may ask the owner that I may take photos of the pet for me to send them, but that’s just a side sort of thing for me.

I am available strictly before 3pm 7 days a week. I work full time at the Cheesecake Factory from 4pm-11pm. With that said I can always work around something if emergency.
