I’m your buddy’s buddy!
Pet care experience
I know it’s hard to leave your pet at home alone all day. Especially when your buddy seems to think you’re never coming back, as you walk out the door. I'm happy to fill the void between now and the next time you see them. I'll do my best to spoil your pets to to your heart's delight, if you so desire :) In any case, your animal(s) will have my full attention. My schedule is open, for the most part. If Rover says I’m available, I most likely am. I aim to respond immediately. I offer individual attention, whether it’s on a walk, or just hanging out streaming Cezar Milan videos 😉 Contact me and let's talk, if you have a specific scheduling concern. I am here to help. Housesitting: I’m not only watching your animals. I’m also watching your home while you’re gone. I take that very seriously as well. Obviously anything I can do to take care of your pets while you’re gone, is my priority. I’m also happy to oblige anything you need me to do to take care of your house while you’re gone, for example plants. Plants are important as well! I do have limited construction experience so I can take care of any of your housing needs while you’re gone. Including just being there ;-) Boarding: I will only board one family at a time. Meaning, your pets get my individual attention. I’m home 91% of the time. And will hang out with you dog 100% of the time. Including taking your dog with me wherever I go (if you’re ok with that). I will also crate your dog, as per your request. If you’d like me to practice any training techniques, I am more than happy to work with you! I love a good dog challenge! Please let me know if I can help! 😀 Walks or Drop-in service, they get the same level of attention, just for 30-60 minutes at a time.

Matt was great to work with. He stayed at the house for 3 days and our 5 pets did great with him. He even got my shy cats to hang out with him a little bit. We would definitely use him again in the future.
Great with our pets. Takes good care of our home.
Matthew was great with our puppy Ivy, showed her love and took great care of her He also took her to puppy training class He gave me updates on how things were going and was flexible when our plane home was late. Highly recommend!
Matt will be our go-to house sitter and dog watcher from now on, he is absolutely fantastic! Extremely professional and accommodating, we are so thankful that our babies were in such great care with him. 12 out of 10 would recommend

Information Matthew P. would like to know about your pet
While general information about your dog's current temperament, and history up until now, is preferred. The best way to know if we get along, is to meet in person. Kind of like a first date : D Regardless, I pride myself on being able to be around all dogs.
A typical day
Right now, fun has to be second priority to sun, at this time of year. Meaning, I'm extra carful at this time of year to be sure paws are being cared for, and I'm making water available - Before we start, mid-walk, and when we get back home. Hot pavement, or debris, and even grasses; can burn and injure a dog’s paws. I'm always careful to make sure your dog is walking on dirt/sidewalk/green grass, anything but hot black pavement. I do my best, depending on temperment*, to check your dogs paws for tenderness. The pads can also get injured from broken glass and other debris while you're out on walks. Also, watch out for foxtails this summer; even dried grasses can penetrate into a dog’s paw. *if your dog allows me to check their paws, without too much fuss ; )
