I'm currently working at a veterinary hospital and have time to fit pets that need attention into my schedule. My work schedule does change weekly, but usually does not impede on any pet that needs my attention. During the week, I will be able to take care of any pets in the morning before work and in the afternoon when I come home after work. If I’m close enough, I can also stop by during my lunch to hang out with any pets that may need extra attention.

I have a variety of toys and treats for all size dogs and cats, if it is not available to the owner. I enjoy engaging with the pets I come across to make their experience a fun one and to get to know their different personalities. Another benefit I can offer is the fact that since I also work at an animal hospital, if in the event where a pet needs attention while their owner’s are away, I have the experience and contacts to help with any needs of that pet as soon as possible, with the permission of the owners.

A typical day
Engaging and bonding with the pets I watch is one of the most important aspects of how I spend my time with the animals under my supervision. There will be a lot of play time and activities that I would like to have your pets participate in, such as nice walks and swimming, if possible! However, I always want to meet the needs of the pet since they all have different needs and personalities.

Having three cats of my own has given me much needed comfort and experience in handling cats since they all have different personalities, as well as loving all of them very much! I have also worked as a veterinary assistant for three years and have acquired much needed skills and knowledge on cat handling and behavior.

We were nervous to leave out dog since he had an injury about two months ago, but Matthew put our fears at ease! It’s very clear he treats your pets like his own. He asked lots of great questions, administered medications, and kept our dog and our cat very happy. Will definitely book again when he’s available!

Matthew did a good job taking care of our cats. He house sat for us for a week and left everything in perfect order. We came home to happy cats.
Matthew has been an amazing pet sitter and care taker for my two boys, including my senior cat with significant health concerns. I was kept updated with each visit, and Matt was very communicative with medications and how much each boy ate. I feel secure whenever Matt watched my boys!
