Pet care experience
Growing up we always had multiple animals, which brought about my love for dogs (and cats). I volunteer at the local shelter, and foster dogs for them; it is a very rewarding experience. We enjoy having dogs in our home, and try to create a warm and welcoming environment. We have 3 cats, and one dog. We just adopted our dog in July 2022. He is very friendly and playful! Our cats get along with most dogs, as long as they don’t chase. Our neighborhood has a park, so it is easy to go for a walk and play. Plus, our fenced in back yard!

Matthew watched our two Great Danes for two weeks in their home. We received daily status reports, along with pictures of our pups playing happily and resting soundly. Our younger pup is a year old, and played well with Matthew's pup. We highly recommend Matthew and will use him in the future.
Matt and Rhiann took excellent care of my Minnie. She is a Senior and can be fussy but they handled her quirks beautifully. They sent photos and updates regularly and gave her the snuggle time she craves. They also sent her home with a goody bag!
Matthew was fantastic with my two high energy lab mixes while I was on vacation. I got periodic updates with pictures so I could see what they were up to while I was gone, and they looked like they were having a blast in every one. I love that they were able to be in a home environment with loving people rather than in a kennel like so many boarding facilities in town. I will definitely be booking with him again!
We are beyond pleased with our boarding experience with Matthew for our lab puppy for a full week! The extra touches make all the difference...getting updates and pics and a 'treat' bag at the end of the week. We were recently referred to Rover.com and Matthew by a friend and we are so thankful for the experience. We will definitely be repeat customers and highly recommend Matthew to anyone who is looking for a safe and pleasant experience for their pets. Our lab had a great time and we are confident in the loving care she received.

I find it’s best to keep the pet’s schedule and habits just as they would normally have at home, as much as possible. We’re happy to accommodate crates, or other sleeping arrangements, but dogs aren’t allowed on our bed.

We require a meet and greet prior to your dog’s first booking, to make sure our home is a good fit. Does the dog get along with cats and other dogs? Is the dog housebroken? Does the dog have separation anxiety? Is the dog fixed? Does the dog have any special dietary needs or allergies?
A typical day
My house is away from any main roads so we take walks in the neighborhood. We also have a park where other dogs frequently play (if your dog likes playing with other dogs). Our fenced in yard is a good place to run off the leash and play.

I work from home, so it’s easy to fit in bathroom breaks and playtime! Our dog LOVES to play, but will follow the lead from other dogs and us if our pet guests don’t want to play.
