Hello! I offer boarding for cats in my First Hill apartment and drop in visits for cats and dogs in the nearby Seattle area. I have cared for dozens of cats and dogs since starting on Rover over a year ago and I grew up taking care of cats and dogs as well. I know your pet is like family and I will treat them like my own. I love all pets from the cuddly to the shy. There is nothing more rewarding than winning the trust of a shy cat or dog. Pets make me happy and I love being around them!

Matthew did such a good job boarding our cat , Lucy, while we were traveling. He sent us photos often and kept us updated on everything. I could see from photos itself that she was all comfortable at his place and trusted him. I’d recommend his services to anyone who’s looking for a good boarding/sitter for their cat.
This was my first time boarding my cat with someone so I was nervous. Matthew gave me and my baby and warm welcome and showed me around his home so I was more comfortable. My cat was squirrel gazing in no time in his giant loft window! He seemed comfortable and enjoyed his stay. Will definitely use him as a sitter again! Thank you!
My travels are worry free if Matthew can care for them. His home has great Cat TV [huge windows) and even during the hours he is working from home he always welcomes them to nap on his feet, get chin scratches and body rubs, and walk back and forth by his keyboard. My cats have special diet that happens like clockwork 3X a day and they are used to total access and interaction with me. Staying with Matthew is a seamless transfer.
My cat adores Matthew. I will continue to rebook since this is working out so well for me and my cat.

[Cat Boarding] I love having a work from home buddy! I live by myself in a loft/one bedroom apartment and cats love to perch on the stairs or birdwatch out of the big windowsill. I have no pets of my own and I only accept boardings for cats from one home at a time, up to two cats from the same home. Cats are welcome in all areas of the apartment including on the furniture and bed. My apartment has an air filter and an air conditioner to keep your little buddy comfortable during the unpredictable Seattle summers. During their stay you can use the Rover app to contact me any time. I will contact you daily with pictures and updates about your cat. [Cat and Dog Drop-in Visits] I would be happy to stop by your home to feed and water your pet, play with them, take them outside, or whatever they need! Just let me know what I can do for your pet while you're away and I will take care of it. I will check in with you each visit with updates about how your pet is doing. I can also water your plants, collect your mail for you, etc. while you're away. Let me know how I can help!

What is their temperament and personality like? If they are shy, what are the best ways to help them feel more comfortable? Are there any special needs or medical issues your pet has I should know about? Most owners boarding their cat will provide a litter box, litter, and food, along with any other items they want to bring. Cats are usually most comfortable with familiar versions of those items, but I can provide anything needed as well. How often can I give them treats? :)
A typical day
I work fully remotely from home and I will be happy to have your cat around for some company throughout the day. On weekdays I work from approx. 8-5 but I don't mind a lap sitter and I can take frequent breaks for some pets or to play.

Availability
I work from home full time and my daily work schedule is flexible, allowing me to take breaks to care for or visit your pet as needed. If your pet has special feeding or care needs, I will be available throughout the day to fulfill them. I can board or do drop-in visits for pets most days, please see my Rover calendar for my full availability.
