My family has fostered dogs and cats of all ages since I was a little fella. I personally have been a pet sitter off and on for many years. I have worked for several companies that provided boarding for pets. Vets offices and stand alone boarding facilities. I had the privilege of working for a wonderful gal in Detroit at her pet sitting company, which she runs out of her home. I performed various tasks including walking, playing, brushing, baths, administering medications, orally or through food. Occasionally I had clients with older pets who just needed to be checked on and to provide company. Aside from taking care of pets I was asked to complete various tasks for the owners themselves such as picking up their mail and watering plants, which I was more than happy to do. I have a little experience with injecting medications with a syringe, as I had an elderly cat with kidney issues who recently passed away at the age of 22.
