Pet care experience
I grew up in a very dog friendly house. There may have been a whole month in my 30 years of living where there was no dog to snuggle with at night or watch movies with. When I moved into my apartment, I chose to leave my dog, Roxi, with my parents since they have a nice big yard and Roxi has a bunch of critter siblings. I really missed having a companion when I left, so I began volunteering at Animal Haven in the LES. There, I was responsible for bathing and walking some of the 100 of dogs that they board. I currently work at a photo studio in West Chelsea, but my real career goal is to open a cafe/dog rescue. I am very outdoorsy and would spend a lot of time walking and playing in the park with your dog.

Matthew is THE BEST! He and Bonez are BFF's now forever! He kept this nervous Mommy updated while I was gone which was so great. Matthew also went the extra mile and came out to meet Bonez before I left and talk with me about the why/what/where which was so reassuring. I hope I can work with Matthew again! I'd give him 800 stars if I could!
I cannot rave enough about how wonderful Matthew was with our dog. Chunk is a wonderful bulldog but has several challenges, including aggression towards other dogs and a 24/7 desire to play with his toys. Chunk immediately fell in love with Matt when we did a meet greet. During our trip away Matthew was very communicative, kept us aware of any health concerns, cuddled, and played with our boy! He was incredibly thoughtful and kind in our interactions, and we came home to the happiest bulldog! Matthew will be our go to friend for Chunk as long as we're in NYC!
Matthew took excellent care of my two rambunctious pups while I was overseas. He even charmed my grumpy bulldog who usually hates strangers - a true dog whisperer! Matthew was very responsive and kept me posted with updates and photos. He even checked in after I got back to make sure everything was ok. I highly recommend Matthew!
I went to take a ten day trip back home to Norway for Christmas and Matthew watched my dog, Capi. Matthew is a personal friend of mine. He's super friendly, respectful, and responsible. He left my apartment cleaner than when I left. Capi and Matthew became best friends, and I'm definitely using him again in the future. Thanks Matthew! You're the best.
