Pet care experience
Enjoy worry free dog sitting while you're away. I love dogs and have years of experience owning and caring for them. My dog Romeo is very affectionate and has yet to meet a person or dog he doesn't instantly befriend. Romeo likes to play for a little while, but is happy just sleeping as much as he can. He get's along with everyone, but high energy puppies under 2 years old or dogs with separation anxiety can sometimes be too much for him and he'll find another room to sleep in. Romeo has several dog beds, baskets of toys and comfy resting spots he's happy to share with another four legged friend. Let me know what your dog will enjoy and I can plan accordingly. Romeo and I look forward to meeting you and your pooch!
Reviews
Matt was so easy to deal with. I would absolutely hire him again.
Matt did a great job ! very flexible about dropping off and picking up our dog. Our dog enjoyed staying with Matt & his dog and was well taken care of.
Matt was great!!! Very accommodating and flexible. Will definitely be using his services again. Thank you so much for the updates and for making our first time home-boarding experience so good!
Thank you Matt for making our Godfrey feel so comfortable away from home! 5 barks for you!!

My number one concern is giving your dog a fun, stress-free environment. For this reason, I limit our available spaces to two, and if your dog has any history of items mentioned below I do require a meet and greet prior to any overnight stay so we can carefully evaluate each dog as they interact with each other to minimize the chances of conflict and anxiety. Second, I need to know about any special needs your dog has, from dietary restrictions to behavioral concerns--I am very accommodating and will do my best to make the transition from your house to mine as seamless as possible and would like your help in understanding how best to do that for your dog(s). If applicable, please include the following in your care instructions and/or inquiry: - Food or environmental allergies - Toy or treat restrictions - Any history of destructive behavior - Any history of reactivity (such as barking/lunging on leash, guarding food or toys, or uncontrollable excitement) towards other animals or humans - Any history of separation anxiety - Any other special needs, likes or dislikes that I should be aware of Finally, I do require that dogs staying here be house trained. That said, I understand that in a new place accidents can happen, and I can certainly accommodate an established potty schedule for older, or medically-needy dogs. For your dog's benefit, I also ask that you consider the following before requesting a booking: - Is your dog overly nervous or extremely reactive to new things? If so, someone in a less central location may be a better option. My house is fairly mellow; however, there can be lots of foot traffic walking by that's visible from the doors and windows which might make a nervous dog uncomfortable, especially without his/her family around to reassure her. Often, dogs like this will be most comfortable in their own home, under the care of a travel sitter. -Does your dog have a severe health condition? Romeo has stayed with numerous elderly dogs and does perfectly fine with them. However, if your dog has a extreme health condition such as a heart condition that prevents them from being active, it may be better a better choice to go with a travel sitter or single dog environment. - Is your dog overly energetic and wants to play all day? Romeo is a low energy couch potato and likes to sleep most the day. He gets along great with everyone, but it may not be a good fit with high energy dogs such as Jack Russel Terriers, Golden Retrievers or Weimaraners -Is your dog very vocal? Again, if yes, he/she may be better suited to a different environment. Though several of my neighbors also have dogs, it would be unfair of me to subject them to frequent barking, howling or whining. Please keep this in mind when making your decision. *Most stays will get an initial update and a daily picture unless no updates are requested.
A typical day
Your dog can sleep wherever he or she wants depending on their typical routine. Romeo usually roams around until he gets comfortable and settles on a dog bed or sofa. He usually sleeps all day and plays a little in the evening. I can accommodate whatever situation makes your dog feel at home but have found that a blanket, bed or crate from home is usually comforting to them. I will take your dog on walks around the neighborhood and through the park next door. We usually go on 2-4 walks a day. My yard is partially fenced and I prefer to walk around the neighborhood frequently to break up my day away from the computer.
