I spent a year in Colorado USA volunteering for a puppy rescue. I fostered pup, toilet trained them and helped in bringing the shy or scared pups out of their shell. The owners of the rescue would always give me the anxious pups to me as they would come back like a new dog. I am on the autistic spectrum and get along better with animals than with humans, and people's pets tend to notice it right away and make a beeline for me.
