I have been a pet owner for most of my life. Currently, I have one companion named Odin, who is a mild-mannered and well-trained Australian Shepherd. I am experienced in dog behavior and offer training programs for your dog as well. I also offer a full in-house grooming service at a discount price that you won't be able to find with your typical dog groomers! Making the decision to trust me with your animal means you can feel safe knowing your furry friend will get the attention he or she deserves.

Matt was able to accommodate a last minute drop in request when our work schedules changed to let our 2 large dogs out for some exercise. He was very professional, followed my instructions perfectly and our pups loved him! We have already booked another visit with him and will continue to use his services!
I would highly recommend Matthew as a pet sitter or dog walker. Matthew has taken care of my 2 shih tzus many times. He is very responsible and takes this job very seriously. Matt has a natural way with animals that instantly make them love him. My pets are people dogs and like lots of cuddling and when Matthew walks in the door my dogs are so excited they can hardly contain themselves. Matthew pays careful attention to the feeding and walking routine I leave for him and puts the safety of my precious pets first. He also has cared for my son's Ridgeback with the same care and sense of responsibility. Matthew is a wonderful companion for my pets and I would not consider using anybody else!
Matt has trained my dogs over the passed year and I can honestly say that my dogs behavior has only improved. I am very greatful for the work and dedication that Matt has invested in my animals. Wow, Matthew. You are amazing with dogs. We hear about how it is important to be consistent with how we handle our pets but you truly have mastered this. I was so worried about leaving our guy for 2 whole weeks. I thought he would be stressed out. When we came back we could see how happy he was and that he had formed a great bond with you. He is less anxious now and his behaviour has improved since the time he spent with you. Thank you so much!

Secondly, I would like to initially discuss with a new client about the nature of their animal and record any needs that the animal may have. I will tailor my stay with your animal to meet yours and your animals needs. I will bring my own food. I have a full set of professional grooming tools if you would like your dog groomed while I am at your home. Optionally, If you would like your dog to have a playmate, I am happy to bring my dog along with me for the night. He is a well-trained Australian Shepherd and can adapt to the expectations of your household. This is of course, optional.

A typical day
- Once a day, I take a group of dogs to the dog park. I typically bring the dogs to the Ancaster dog park, which is a large park full of well-socialized dogs that I can typically expect to see at the same time everyday. I am currently taking new clients for this dog-park program. We typically spend 1.5-2 hours at the park. - During over-night stays, depending on your dogs needs, I can bring him/her to the park, go for walks, teach new tricks, develop healthy behaviors, groomed if needed, assure that your animal is getting any medications they need, are fed and watered, and are given lot's of attention throughout the night!

I make my own schedule and work from home. Therefore, I can easily guarantee that I will be able to be flexible around your needs, and your animals! A few years ago I was in a motor vehicle accident that left me with a concussion. I had just received my second degree and was on the way to applying to become a police officer. The injury was too severe and I could no longer pursue my career goals. I now have whiplash amd suffer from severe headaches that prevent me from being able to manage the expectations of a full time work load. So now with my part-time work load from home, I can guarantee that I can be flexible and meet your needs!
