~ Compassionate & Ready for Adventure ~ Hi my name is Matt. I love dogs and enjoy getting to know each and every furry friend for who they are as they all have unique personalities. I have taken care of dogs personally and professionally for 12 years. I have 6 years of experience doing part time dog sitting and dog walking for a wide array of clients. I live in West LA and currently have a Terrier. I have experience dog sitting/walking for all sizes of dogs but particularly medium to large dogs such as Labs, Pitbull mixes, Huskies and Australian Shepherds. I also have experience training and taking care of puppies. I love taking high energy dogs on long walks and hikes but I am also open to short walks!

Matt loves dogs! I base this on the evidence of how he is kind, loving, interactive and patient with his own dog and his neighbor dog. He is kind, patient and considerate of humans too! I think that is a winning combination for quality care for your dog and peace of mind for you, the owner! If I had a pet, I'd entrust them into the capable and caring hands of Matt!
Matt is exceptional ! He loves my dog Coaley as much as I do. Coaley can't wait for Matt to arrive to take him for a nice long walk.

I will take care of your dog by observing, watching and listening at all times to make sure they are safe and enjoying themselves. I have the Rover Emergency Hotline number in my phone ready at all times in case an emergency occurs. If outside, I make sure your pup is always on a leash, unless we are at a dog park or other area that you have communicated to me that it is OK for them to be off leash. If they are home, I make sure they have enough food and water. I keep doors shut to rooms/areas they are not allowed in. I take them outside to go to the bathroom 2-4 times a day (depending on the dog). I go above and beyond to make sure your pup is safe and happy. Communication is essential and very important to me whenever I am interacting with clients. Please don’t hesitate to tell me how I can be of best service to your doggo!

Examples include how your dog is with other dogs, if it’s ok to take them to dog parks and/or be around other dogs, food allergies, medication needs, etc. I will be as accommodating as possible and will contact you right away if there is any type of emergency.
A typical day
I love to go on walks and hikes with dogs. From a long walk in the neighborhood, to hanging out with other dogs at a dog park, to a stroll at the beach, to a hike in Kenneth Hahn Park or Runyon Canyon, I make sure your dog is enjoying the outdoors! I especially enjoy hanging out with high energy dogs and making sure they get a lot of exercise. I love to see them nice and tired once our walk or hike is over.
