Hello there! I am a Chicago native and a musician. I have been in the animal service industry for around seven years. I have had jobs at dog daycares, have done overnight stays, and am currently a dog walker. I love being with all kinds of animals and it is the most fun way to make a living! I get along great with dogs and cats a like, and have even made fish visits before haha. I have also stayed overnight with dogs who have medical conditions and need medicine/special care. I bond quickly with animals and am aware that every dog has it's own special needs that I am more than willing to accommodate. I’d recommend Matt for your doggie needs. He was communicative and on time for the meet and greet and the stay. My dog seemed to really like Matt and was calm and relaxed around him. Matt sent daily updates and pictures during the 6 day stay. He was also a good house guest, everything was in order when I returned and my pup seemed happy. Thanks, Matt!

I highly recommend Matt Puhr as a dog sitter. He is responsible, trustworthy, and he loves animals! Matt has watched our dog, Wrigley, many times. He has stayed at our home and taken care of Wrigley while we were away. Wrigley is always very happy to see Matt!
Dogs just seem to like Matt - I think it's his calm demeanor and the way he interacts with them. He is so aware of the different personalities in each dog and knows instinctively how to work with that personality. He is a true animal lover and I think the dogs know it!

I love all breeds of dog! It is always helpful to know about your dog's energy level, how many times it goes for walks in a day, how much it gets fed, and if it get's along with people/other dogs. Any medical issues are also very important. I am more than willing to work with you to accommodate you and your dog's needs!
A typical day
Depends on the needs of the dog! If your dog is a pooch with a lot of energy we will definitely go to the park where we can run around and get a lot of good sniffs and exploring. If your pup is a little more mellow, we can just hang out on the block and take care of our business. They will definitely getting spoiled with pets the whole time regardless!
